I love the movie MOMENTO. I don't usually go and see new movies on the big screen when they are released unless they are independent films. I saw this and loved it. This is great, Arturo.

HITS & MISSES: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow on TCM
GregoryPeckfan replied to Bogie56's topic in General Discussions
There was a remake and I have seen it. It is fantastic! I have the soundtrack. It stars Kevin Kline as Cole Porter and does not shy away from things the earlier film was not allowed to show- that he was homosexual ad that when he lost his leg, he had "phantom"pain. It's a wonderful film. It is called De-lovely and it was released in 2004. He is ready to die and has been brought to an theatre to look back on his life - the triumphs and the tragedies. -
HITS & MISSES: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow on TCM

Too bad! My provider's schedule says that Asenic and old lace should have started but it did not. I wasn't in the room when the movie started so I don't know what it is- but it is NOT A&OL. Edit: It's Night and day, which I've seen. It's on okay version of Cole Porter's life to the point where he he's walking on crutches. -
Your Favourite Performances from 1929 to present are...

I love Dick Powell's entire career except for that movie that killed everyone of cancer eventually. June Allyson did not think he should play Marlowe. Boy, was she wrong. Farewell my lovely has been filmed more than once. But musical title it does see when starring Dick Powell. So it was changed to Murder My Sweet. LOVE this film. I chose Double Indemnity - Fred MacMurray just slightly. I very nearly chose Bogey in To have and Have Not. It would have ben self indulgence on my part to pick Peck for Keys to the Kingdom. -

Real 20th Century Vole/Monty Python Cast: John Cleese is in several movies in production, post production, and pre-production. The man has a busy schedule. I saw him in the front row of Victor Borge's performance in Vancouver at The Orpheum Theatre. He came in after everyone was seated. He never took his eyes off of Mr.Borge. To be in the same auditorium with these two men at the same time is something that I cherish.

Great topic! I'll list just a couple for now. Irene Dunne - The Awful Truth, My Favourite Wife and Penny Seranade Katherine Hepburn - Holiday and Bringing Up Baby.

It's been great having you as Clark Gable, Lawrence. I know you are switching Thursday to J.G.

Shirley Temple was Henry Ford's daughter in Fort Apache.

That is correct, Shutoo. Apparently, this film has also gone under the title The Girl Was Young. The DVD I have is Young and Innocent. Your thread.

Yes. Too spicy. I'm not able to eat as many spicy things as I used to eat, Dargo. -
Those of us in Canada generally wait for Barton Keyes to tell us what changes to the schedule there are in Canada on TCM. For us in Canada, August is a *bit* far away......

Spence: I've never heard that reference of The Biebs - I cannot stand listening to him sing. When I hear references to a young Sinatra, it is usually a reference to Michael Buble. -

Yes, Cannonball Run II was NOT a good ending to a career. The last movie of the man whose avatar you currently have, Lawrence, was a wonderful performance though sad to watch: The Misfits. I know you will be changing your avatar tomorrow. I've already made sure I know how many of your new actor avatar's films I've seen. -

I recorded the movie from earlier today. Did anyone watch it as it aired? Edit: I'm talking about The Double Man

This movie has two different titles - either one will work. The killer in this movie hides from the police by appearing in black face in a hotel band.

7) Claire Trevor was the femme fatale in Murder, My Sweet which starred crooner Dick Powell as Marlowe- hence the name change from Farewell, My Lovely which was the title of the book. The book title sounds like it could be a musical.

Well, as much as I am a fan of Martin Sheen, father of two members of the Brat Pack, as Sinatra is my favourite singer of all time, I will say: The Rat Pack (which would make me Shirley MacLaine?) Next: Would you rather direct a movie that you wrote and produced yourself, or would you rather direct a movie where directing was the only job you did on a movie?
