In Judgement at Nuremberg- every Nazi in it, especially the ones who were in jail very briefly and then released when the Cold War started. Real Nazis. -
506 Just think: Decades from now, long after we are dead, this movie may be the only thing for which we are remembered. Why couldn't we be in an "A" budget film?

The Nazis who pitchfork people in the trucks in The Great Escape. And, well, Nazis in general. And no, I don't mean the fictional characters. -
Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival: Faye Dunaway

Her Italian films are a delight. In her native language, she is amazing. May I suggest: TWO WOMEN - as your introduction to Sophia Loren in Italian. She has done wonderful in English language films, but as is the case with anyone who makes films in a second tongue, movies made in the mother tongue is always more natural and freeing. -

10) The lost Weekend is a cautionary tale about alcoholism that paired with films like The Days of Wine and Roses can show the serious side of addiction. There is an irony to these films because of the TCM Wine Club. But it does not mean that people can't drink wine or advertise wine. It is simply ironic. Next: BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S

Yes. Boring films. With men named Shirley......? -
The Can't Edit it Properly (?) Collection: 1. Singin' in the Rain - the editors thought that the scene where the silent movie was out of sync was supposed to be in sync. It wasn't meant to be. "No, No, No!" "Yes, Yes, yes!" 2. Touch of Evil - Orson Welles wanted the movie to be edited differently at the beginning of the movie so that the credits would not be over the action at the beginning of the movie. It wasn't until after Welles died that Welles fan restored the movie to the way Welles wanted it. 3. She (1935 version) - A great attempt to make special effects appear normal had great special effects for fire scenes, but got a little out of hand for ice scenes. It appears that a man frozen in ice looks like the head of a puppy dog.

You are in for a TREAT, Limey. M is fantastic. -
I've seen it. It has been years since I saw it, but it is fantastic. This is the movie where Widmark talked about always being hungry whn he was on the set. There was food rationing there. I need to see this again. Thanks for reminding me.
