  2. That's right. She was played by Rob Reiner's mother. Your thread, Azure.
  3. Thanks again for going into detail about the extras for The Omen and about Gregory Peck working on the film in that time of his life.
  4. Perhaps he meant Shakespeare. I had a particularly difficult time reading Titus Andronicus and other histories even in university. I loved reading some of the plays. But by university I was burnt out.
  5. Re: Babes in Arms which I have seen and love To go backward in time -I seem to recall Thoroughbreds Don't Cry being listed in its year? Anyway, I tried to finish that movie for Judy, but Mickey irritated me so I could not finish it
  6. Yes, I always have to double check foreign language titles even if they are in French - our second National language.
  7. I see some of the titles I listed deliberately lesser known has made people's lists. That was my intention. Some of the old cowboy movies air on Silver Screen Classics a lot.
  8. 10) Liza continues to work and talk about her parents and what it was like growing up around famous people. NEXT: Michael Caine
  9. This is not a cameo but a larger than cameo role and I do no know how many Americans have seen the series, but former Canadian Prime Minister Stephan Harper was such a big fan of the Canadian detective series Murdoch Mysteries that he appeared as a policeman in an episode. This was *during* the time he was Prime Minister of Canada. I'm not exactly sure how or why he did it, but this was *before* the attack on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. There were a lot of body guards on the set.
  10. Slight typo -I make them all the time -it's Julie Newmar, not Neman. Famous for Catwoman opposite Adam West.
  11. A good example of a movie whose soundtrack I love but I will not see the movie a second time is: Easy Rider
  12. I think it is likely a coincidence. A couple who are friends of mine routinly drink wine with their meals and then have coctails or something else in the evening. If you watch a lot of movies while you eat which most people do, you will likely pair movies and alcohol. I take meds which interact, so I can't. I don't think there is any deeper meaning than that.
  13. That is correct. It was always on the radio when I was a teenager -"My Heart Will Go on and On" was even disliked by Titantic's leading lady. I still have not seen the film. I may see it -eventually....... Your thread.
  14. No worries, MissW. I got you confused with another poster who actually *does* mean to insult me and whose post was deleted over night. I have put that person on ignore. Cheers. GPF
  15. Hint #2: This French Canadian singer who sang this overplayed song recorded this song for a disaster film in the 1990s that was the same title as an earlier film starring Barbara Stanwyck about the sea disaster. I'm looking for the name of the singer for the 1990s film.
  16. The I BOUGHT THIS EPIC LENGTH FILM FOR A STAR WHO APPEARS BRIEFLY IN THE FILM??????! SET: 1. Richard Widmark in How The West Was Won 2. George Reeves in Gone With The Wind 3. Buster Keaton in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World 4. Frank Sinatra in Around the World in 80 Days
