Lust in the Dust is an actual other movie than Duel in the Sun? Lust in the Dust was the unofficial nickname for the Peck western because it was so bad. Okay, so that makes your boxed set even more ironic..

My order of Day's movies with Hudson in order of preference; Pillow Talk Lover Come Back Send Me No Flowers Eugenia- the thread has already been off topic for a while. I thought that I'd throw in this post as a why not?

It always confused me why Wayne agreed to accept Cooper's Oscar for Best Actor that year. Wayne thought the film Un-American.

Your Favourite Performances from 1929 to present are...
GregoryPeckfan replied to Bogie56's topic in Your Favorites
True. I have not seen as high a percentage of movies from this year as you have by a long shot, and most of the films I have not seen I had heard of before. However, this is not true of the many foreign films listed. Kay does indeed list ones I've not seen all of them. Even if I did not like Pigskin Parade, I want to see everything Judy Garland made, so yes indeed: Kudos to Kay! -

Just mentioned Three Days of the Condor is one of my favourite political movies of all time. It is based on a book called SIX Days of the Condor, but it was shortened because it was felt that this was too nail-biting a length for the public.

I've seen Wag the Dog. It was interesting, but it is not one that comes to mind when one thinks of this topic and the male star.

Mediocre Movie but Great Travelogue
GregoryPeckfan replied to CaveGirl's topic in General Discussions
Yes, well, it depends upon one's tastes. My ability to enjoy a Shakespeare movie really is on a film by film basis. Some I love and some I like and others I tolerate. When I was in university I took Shakespeare as what I thought would eventually be a major in English but I becme burnt out and switched English to my minor and switched my minor of Psychology to a Major. That particular semester the professor decided that she would give us all the rarely read plays that year. I was so happy that I had read Hamlet in Advanced Placement English in grade 12 because it was too famous to be read that semester. People who wanted to read Hamlet were disappointed. I wrote a paper on Richard III, a play that I did nor really understand because it was one of the options of a list of topics for us. We had not yet read gone over it in class and I did NOT want to write about Titus Andronicus. Bad move as I barely got 50 percent. This from a person who went to university entirely based upon scholarships, hence my switch of subjects. -

Really? I love that movie. It has some great performances in it and is one of my favourite versions of the p[lay. I have heard most people say that any of Shakespeare's histories are long and boring and just look at the scenery. -

Only if the weather has not knocked out your internet service. I haven't heard of her either. I know most people who have taken part in the Canadiana thread use Wikipedia to find out who is and who is not Canadian. It has lain dormant since I gave up on my last answer since I am too busy to keep checking it every day.

Heath Ledger is a tragic figure all around. I loved Brokeback Mountain. I don't normally love movies made since I was born, but this one I loved. -

I have the DVD collection of I Love Lucy Season 2. I rewatch them often. My favourite episode of Hollywood stars though is the one where Richard Widmark guest stars. -

That is going to help answer this question and what Vautrin meant. Also that several people who normally participate in trivia threads are quite busy. I am not sure which soundtrack DGF wants.
