  1. Hint #2: There is a question mark at the end of this one word film title made in Canada that starred Plummer and Landau. The film was from 2015. I am looking for the title only.
  2. 1938 BEST ENSEMBLE: From now on I will switch the categories I have been doing on Sunday and Monday. This will give me more time to relax my fingers on Sundays. So today will be my: BEST ENSEMBLE - of a lifetime as Tom says The Adventures of Robin Hood: Errol Flynn Basil Rathbone Olivia DeHaviland Alan Hale Sr. Eugene Palette Patrick Knowles Una O'Conner Claude Rains And many others..
  3. I don't have a problem with your post. I am not sure who would. I am a big fan of hers. My favourite film of hers is The Big Country where she is an excellent role model compared to silly proud Carroll Baker. AS for Elmer Gantry, well, that is a fabulous film to be sure.
  4. Yes, but then there would not need to be the showdown between Jack Palance and Elisha Cook, Jr. and then with Alan Ladd...
  5. Sid Caesar was in It's a Mad, mad, Mad, Mad World with Spencer Tracy.
  6. Peter Graves Next: Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck
  7. Ella Fitzgerald Next: Don Knots or Andy Griffith?
  8. I watched Shane as it aired as well. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen the movie. It is my favourite Alan Ladd film. And that is saying something being that I love film noir.
  9. This movie is famous for the real life health issues involved in the artists who made it. This is the film that Hughes had produced near where the bomb testing was. Nearly everyone involved in the film ended up with cancer and most of them died. This includes Wayne, Hayward, and director Dick Powell. I watched it when it aired and I found it passable only because of its history of infamy.
  10. Yes, there was a long time between the film and the divorce. But Granger I believe was no where near Jean during the time of filming. I think he was on the set of a different film at the same time and therefore could not intervene himself.
  11. Yes I did mean that. thanks. Didn't mean to confuse things more than they were. I will edit it.
  12. Joanne Dru was in Red River with John Wayne
  13. One of the oddest relationships that has been odd even for Hollywood standards is the relationship between Gloria Grahame and director Nicholas Ray. She married him after he had children from another relationship and then divorced him to marry his son -her former stepson. So her stepson became her husband and her ex-husband became her father-in-law. Yikes.
