OK, the second director is a major movie star with at least one franchise under his belt and directed his mentor in his first movie as a director. His mentor acted in a few films, mainly as a bit actor and uncredited.

Yes, his major influence was on another director, who became honored since about 1990.

This director went to Cambridge University and was a major influence on one of the most honored directors of the last 25 years who had the opportunity to direct him in a movie they both were in. Hope that isn't too confusing. Please name both directors and some of your favorite movies they directed.
