    I had a hard time choosing #1 because I adore John Barry's romantic melodies, but the spot must go to Jerry Goldsmith simply because no two of his works sound alike. Who would think the composer who wrote the soundtrack for Planet of the Apes is the same one who wrote the music for Alien? I don't have a specific favorite, I just love their work in general.
