Bill Maher in particular is heading a lg petition drive to remove the THE GREAT ONE JACKIE GLEASON'S statue in frt of the NYC bus terminal, due to him always threating Alice & such THIS IS JUST MORE PC NONSENSE There is also a life size statue of Gleason in frt of the EMMY headquarters, ironically he never even won an EMMY either Art Carney won 3 for THE HONEYMOONERS & Audrey Meadows one, but JACKIE would always lose to Phil silvers in Bilko??? & he only earned 1 Oscar shot for The Hustler He was certain he'd win Best Actor though for Papa's Delicate Condition THE GREAT ONE-(both Orson & Lucy started that nickname) URGENT & HILARIOUS CHECK OUT THE CLIP ON YIOUTUBE OF JOHN HERBERT GLEASON-(Irish) tripping on LSD in Skidoo He was also robbed of a s. actor shot opposite Hanks ion 1986's terrific Nothing in Common

This time of all people he played a coward of sorts vs William Conrad the MVP of the picture FRANK made 4 Westerns, can you guess them?

unfortunately it's getting more obvious that hanks will not take home his 3rd Oscar as mr rogers, though a lock to be nommed for it given the annual pre Oscar awards it's likely to be between pacino and pesci in the irishman at least tom will garner his first shot in 19yrs for castaway though -
The annual death roll at the Oscars will be big this year
