& as I [posted last night & something I rarely if ever do due to OSCARS being my thing, just for fun posted what I think may win the top prizes at todays LA Film Critics Awards of course comoare Film: Parasite barely over Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Actor: Phoenix Actress: Zellweger S. Actor: Pitt S. Actress: Laura Dern & BD: Quentin Tarentino barely over Boon Jong Ho Of course THE IRISHMAN wins though!!!
-
This is very confusing Jakeem, virtually all other media cited IRISHMAN as winning Best Film with NYFCC???
-

They seem somewhat tacky & corny, though if I had the $$$ I'd want the ROBERT MITCHUM one Plus I bet they are $expensive$ I;ve seen the commercial 100 times due you have to purchase them all?\ Plus the people truly appear snobby -
& Janney took home an Academy Award for it at the local theatre I was going to another picture but lots of young & in shape girls were coming out of it Obviously also athletes
-
Robbie is almost a lock coming up in snagging her 2nd nomination for either BOMBSHELL or ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD as Sharon Tate

Something I have rarely if ever do either online or elsewhere I only speculate to myself on this over 37yrs However I just want to have fun & predict the winners tomorrow of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (est 1975-) Of course the Oscars are my main dish Now they are not as pivitol at handicapping what Oscar may do as NY, but here goes (P.E. Check Jakeem's page for his incredible up to the minute winners in all the pre-Oscar Film Awards) New York Film Critics Circle voted of course for THE IRISHMAN, as did National Board of Review But I'm not certain the California based film reviewers will do the same tomorrow? Best Film: Parasite Actor: J. Phoenix in Joker Actress: A tough one Reese Witherspoon in Judy S. actor: another tough one to outguess here Brad Pitt, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood S. Actress: Laura Dern, Marriage Story Best Director: Also close between Quentin Tarentino for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood & Boon Jong Ho for Parasite I'd more then love it of Marty;s epic took it again though Screen Actors Guild (SAG) nominees to be announced on the 11th, now they are runner-up to what the AMPAS will do thesedays & not so much the Golden Globes At present can't recall if the Globe noms-(yeah, Monday) are first or not see largest voting block in the ACADEMY are the actors, so it stands to reason SAG is so important for us pundits THANK YOU

I take pt of that back Oscar victor Kathy Bates may sneak into the s. actress race for it She already won either the NBR or NYFCC awards for the work
-
seeing it in 2 weeks & said by all to be Clint's best in years, even though he of course is not ion it. He swore after UNFORGIVEN he'd never do another Western & hasn't, but also said he'd not star again in one of his projects after GRAN TORINIO & obviously has (THE MULE) Even though this is likely well-made don't count on it garnering any Oscar attention, the boat seems full & Oscar victor Kathy Bates already has some Oscar buzz
-
Seen all of these Garner was so cool
-
an incredible 9 Oscars
-
On Alan Ladd he was a long suffering guy & a lot had to do first with his mother, mentally unbalanced & then when he was a teen took poison & booze & died in his arms Somewhat what he did at age 50 in '64 But, overall it was his lack of height that truly disturbed the actor He'd even keep a board ion his office for tests odf actors & it had marks on it, if you were much taller no role Then the studio would either stand SHANE on a box or dig a hole He was about 5'5 to 5[6 at best Now, Cagney much to most surprise at one time was 5'7, but he wasn't as [popular with the ladies as Alan
