Obviously SCORSESE'S all-time song is THE ROLLING STONES GIMME' SHELTER, even said so & used it tremendously in 3 of his movies GOODFELLAS, CASINO & THE DEPARTED

I've only seen FRIDAY THE 13th, Part 2 one time. I didn't like Alice Hardy getting killed after all she went through in the first movie. So I never watched it again and never endeavoured to find an old tape to buy.
I don't have any of the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET movies in my video stash. Just never got around to it. I've got plenty of other horror movies to watch so the 'Elm Street' movies were never a priority to obtain.
HALLOWEEN III has one plot hole in it that drives me nuts. Otherwise, I'd like it more. It's certainly sinister enough.
And so it goes . . .
Betsy ... forget her last name right now, think she went by now though & was also in MISTER ROBERTS as you know [portrayed Jason's mother, used to live in the Tampa Bay, FL area & used to call local talk radio down here

Since the last update, I've watched:
- Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990) - 5/10 (with Viggo Mortensen!)
- Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) - 3/10 (Alice Cooper and Rosanne Barr!)
- Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) - 4/10 (Leslie Jordan!)
- Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994) - 4/10 (John Saxon as John Saxon!)
- Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) - 4/10 (introducing Paul Rudd!)
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1995) - 3/10 (Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey!)
- Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) - 4/10 (Michelle Williams, Josh Hartnett and Joseph Gordon-Levitt!)
Saw 4 of those to date & now ZELLWEGER has not one but two Academy Awards
You must really be a horror fan, huh
What do you think of the 1st l978 HALLOWEEEN?

Sidney Poitier is one of those people that is like a magnet. As soon as you see him you are drawn to him. I saw him early in the morning just for a few moments. He was with a few other people walking through the MGM lot. Elegant as can be.
On the way to work that day I saw a jet ski lying in the middle of a busy intersection. About 20 minutes later I saw Poitier and thought this is a memorable day. The riots broke out a little later.
Did you also get to work for METRO & what year was it?

93 now and now officially the oldest living Best Actor Oscar winner!
A lot call him the black Cary Grant
& even though he won his 1963 Oscar-(an upset back then over Newman in Hud too) his best work in my own book is THE DEFIANT ONES & A RAISIN IN THE SUN

Not everyone's cup of tea, but she impressed me as being "cool" when I met her.
she can literally play every instrument too, but her choreography/dancing may be whats she's most remembered for and her singing, though her last work MADAME X may be her worst to date!
& I liked DICK TRACY (l990) ($104m) (***1/2) though it also has it's detractors
TRUTH OR DARE (l991) (docu.) is her finest picture though & made $16m.pretty strong for a documentary then
But despite a Golden Globe for EVITA (l996) acting is the one thing she still hasn't conquered
Her famed beauty mark has been gone since 2001 though

I did a thread like this some years back. But mine was more about who does anyone think excudes an attitude of "cool", just by their looks, not necessarily their acting style. Could be both, but acting style not pertinent. A few of my picks were
DENNIS HOPPER (I've long claimed that even at age 74 you could plop him in the middle of a room of thirtysomethings and he'd STILL be the hippest guy in the room!)
STEVE McQUEEN (Yeah, I'll hop that bandwagon.
)
ROBERT WAGNER
LEE MARVIN
ADRIEN BRODY (in the "younger set"
)
BRUCE DERN
JOHN CASSAVETES
ROBERT MITCHUM
BO HOPKINS
and of course:
HUMPHREY BOGART and
JAMES CAGNEY and in some ways...............
FRED ASTAIRE.
Can't think of any women who strike me as "cool" by my def.
Sepiatone
DENNIS (Frank Booth) HOPPER!

& thanks for submitting the picture circa 1984
