THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE-(close for me & #7) 9. HIGH NOON l0th MY DARLING CLEMENTINE & RUNNER-UP> STAGECOACH (l939) ALSO RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY

Nipkow, your avatar is among my favs on these forums Speaking of lee Marvin, AFI rane4d CAT BALLOU among Hollywoods Best Westerns? Loved that since i was 6 though & would actually pour water on my face to stay awake to watch it coming on tv!

Caan wore lg lifts as Santino-(sonny) he was barely 5'10, same as brando, cazale & duvall I've seen footage of these enormous shoes before Maybe 3 inches al was barely 5'6

Personally don't really agree when fans bash III from l990) (made $67m.) I think it's good (***) at best but maybe to much time had past for Coppola? l990 was the pinnacle yr of the gangster movie with it, GoodFellas, State of Grace, Miller's Crossing-(brilliant), The Krays, Men of Respect if you count it a gangster film Dick Tracy & others

I did that soon as I had a vcr in '83

well, he finally got his own Hollywood Walk of Fame Star -
actually I saw a special once of Hollywood stuntmen and they said Lloyd somewhat faked his stunts-(according to them & they are long gone by now) Keaton though nobody ever heard of any stuntmen doing his jazz
-
obviously a huge segment of the choices you made have to do with the scores!
-
they are that important in cinema total history, ever see the first two? Critics, AFI, imdb you name it always rank them among the mt summit of filmmmaking
-
but as I said the network of all movie networks can't be complete without them, shouldn't have to rent them, or pay elsewhere to see them, tcm is the pinnacle
-
good shot by the way

Knowing fans on here also like Westerns, do you have any of the top fastest gunfights in history that come to mind? But in reality historians insist it didn't happen like say in SHANE, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST & others & that gunfighters would rather somewhat hide in the streets then have an all out battle , standing in a face off Closest all say was of course THE OK CORRAL & WILD BILL HICKOCK once killed a man in pretty much a street gunfight

You did such a superlative job! Hope there are more
