  1. close, but Augustus is a yr younger they used to list hackman as 1931, but stpped I just mean overall
  2. though ivory isn't also a performer they listed him even older
  3. you got me on them she was great in it, but thought jo van fleet's one scene in luke was deserving superb character actress
  4. He was on yet another hilarious SEINFELD as well
  5. Excellent topic & I could go on a lot about him here, but have in the past MR. RKO as nasty as he was as Max Cady, check out online a 1983 tv movie called A KILLER IN THE FAMILY a true story & MTCHUM had a nickname for his boss at RKO THE PHANTOM, because he rarely saw the man
  6. Olivia De Havilland (l9l6-) Eva Marie Saint (l924-) Mel Brooks (l926-) Sidney Poitier (l927-) Sean Connery (l930-_) Gene Hackman (l930-)
  7. TRIVIA: Only 3 SNL members have been up for Oscars Bill Murray in a film I love Lost in Translation, Aykroyd, Miss Daisy & Murphy in Dreamgirls Bill shoulda earned a supporting nom for Rushmore (l998) He & Chevy Chase are still enemies despite the 1 scene in CADDYSHACK. Bill once almost flattened him in the halls of the bldg. way back
  8. SNL (l975-80) Especially when Belushi was at the helm. Is easily in my own opinion one of the 5 greatest shows of all-time! Now, it's staggeringly awful! as a kid I had the first & I think only actual BLUES BROTHERS album, but think it got stolen
  9. without question the greatest and most famous finale ever actually shot at Burbank airport and bogey had to stand on a crate at bare 5'8 vs her
  10. These are the 3rd most popular movie series in cinema history now, only after BOND & SW
  11. That reminds me of SINATRA again, of the half dozen roles he wanted and didn't get Fast Eddie Felson was another, though Paul was brilliant in it & deserved to win for both Eddie's l961 & 1986
  12. Superb picture, even the silent scenes I just started that yr oddsmaking Oscar did crappy & thought Paul would win over Kingsley in Gandhi though & E.T. over Gandhi Streep though was a blow out in Sophie's Choice
  13. OOPS, now I see you only put it on as a follow up to Ali Did you & most know Love Story was up for 10 Academy awards, including her? She's about 80 now& let her hair turn really grey, but don't think she ever mentions McQUEEN? A film she was strong in nobody saw 1980's Just Tell Me What You want opposite Alan King, where she whooped him to a frazzle
  14. O come on Dargo, this was a funny movie though My mom even took me to it as a kid & I've seen it a lot since Obviously homage to Bringing Up Baby of course, one of Bogdanovich's favs
  15. Only thing I will add at this late date is that his own fav role was '62's modern day western, darn it forget the title right now? I used to like him too He even moved in on her street-(canon dr.) only celebs on that rd. & had all the time planned to be interred in the empty plot nxt to her, but daughter NATASHA GREGSON WAGNER saved the day & somehow bout it up-(Westwood) LONELY ARE THE BRAVE is it & women especially thought he was taller then 5'9, he even did a comedy skit on SNL in he mid '70's about this. HOLLYWOOD IS SMOKE & MIRRORS
  16. Maltin's book even cites it as '89, she also had Great Balls of Fire that year Not nearly as much as NATALIE OR MADONNA, I'M A BIT OF A WINONA STUDENT Winona Laura Horowitz
  17. Landau's magnificent per in Ed Wood that more then deserved him that Oscar mentioned turning it down, befire wrestling with a rubber octopus
  18. I still think his biggest strecthes as an actor are SNATCH & KALIFORNIA
  19. I was just so dazzled at how original it was then when I first went to PF Thought many called it Reservoir Dogs II DEBIT: He's so obnoxious on screen though, do you agree? Remember FROM DUSK TILL DAWN & OTHERS?
