  1. Recently my wife and I stayed a night in Bodega Bay, CA so we could visit the site of Hitchcock's 1963 film, The Birds. The inn we stayed at loaned us a DVD of The Birds and a DVD player. The young woman who set us up in the room was quite knowledgeable about the film, even though I don't think she was born yet when the film was released.   2. Sometime in the 1960s I saw a short piece of a B & W movie on television that has haunted me ever since. I want to know the title so I could see the whole movie. This is the scene: A man comes outside a building and sees and hears a woman sadly reciting a list of town names. When he asks her what she is doing, she says she is naming the train stations on the way home. She is sad because she can't go home and she wants to. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
