No mrsl, you don't follow people around.

You tend to think if someone complains about some things, then they complain about everything. That is not true of anyone on these boards. We all like the OLD movies, that is why we watch TCM. Before you tell someone they complain about everything you should first read all their posts. I'm just sick of you bringing that up so I had to say what I did.

mrsl, some of us just don't like his style. I also dislike everything 70's - the clothes, his ugly set, eh. His show screams 70's and it gives me a headache to look at it. Message was edited by: sweetbabykmd

I know this is way off topic but I never laughed so hard as I did when I saw the "shrinkage" episode.

That was a great episode. To me Seinfeld was the only tv show worth watching.

> Real good question by Cavett to Hepburn "Are those > your real teeth?" If that's the best he can ask to a > legend then he is a real "Snapperhead". Even that > idiot Larry King doesn't ask those types of > questions. "LONG LIVE ROBERT OSBORNE" the King of > interviewers!!! I just can't understand what everyone sees in Dick Cavett. I haven't been able to watch any of these all the way through for the asinine questions.

Oh good, I was afraid he was a permanent fixture.

If it works like that then it's a vicious cycle. I'm just glad I can record and watch what I do like.

Good post otterhere. filmlover "Out of curiousity, kmd, you said TCM is not perfect. How would you make it perfect? I'd be interested to find out." Perfect for me would not be perfect for someone else - obviously. If you really want to know I would show no movie newer than 1965 (preferrably 1954), no tv shows (Dick Cavett), no raising of the volume when certain promos come on, and the good precodes would be on at prime time. They would focus their attention on trying to get the Louise Brooks, Clara Bows, Veronica Lakes, and countless other classics that we don't yet get to see. It would be a classic movie channel. I have stated repeatedly that TCM is the only station I watch, so I am glad to have this source for watching the old movies that I love.

"I wonder if those who love to complain - and they do love the act of complaining because some have it down to a fine art - ever wonder, "If TCM ends, will it be because Tom Karsch and the others finally just plain gave up because I am never happy about what they do?")" I am one who will continue to complain when TCM lets me down. I do not complain because I love the act of complaining, thank you. Although TCM is still my favorite channel because of the 20's to 40's movies, I don't think it is perfect and will give my opinion when I feel like it. If TCM were to end, it will definitely NOT be because Tom Karsch and the others give a hoot about what I think, because they don't care what anybody thinks - they are there to make money. If you really think they care what you think, remember AMC.

What is the best recent film you have seen?

So The Queen is about Elizabeth II? I was hoping it was about Elizabeth I, I am more interested in her life. I haven't heard anything about this movie. -

This website attracts people of all ages and walks of life, therefore you will see that people express themselves in very different ways, and there will be lots of spelling and grammatical errors. I don't think it is anyone's place to pick apart someone's post, especially since she is obviously young. -
