  1. stoneyburke I can understand your feelings about this, my father fought in Vietnam so I grew up hearing all about her.
  2. That's a good one, I will have to add Linda Evans.
  3. Fred that sounds like a great life. As for the phone, I don't like the way modern house phones ring, and the cell phones are just horrible. The old bell sounds much better. As soon as I can I am buying a vintage phone for the house.
  4. Fred you are so right. On another forum there are folks like me who feel like this. We discussed how we would love to move to an abandoned small town and turn it into a 40's/50's town where we dress and have only the comforts that were available back then. Tons of members came up with what occupations we would have to have, etc. It was a really fun discussion.
  5. These boards have been going downhill for about a year now.
  6. With the exception of Some Like It Hot, I don't find men in drag to be the least bit entertaining.
  7. Looks like you were right nortbanba, we do have another PA* in the building.
  8. Mickey Rooney's face gives me the creeps, so I try not to watch him.
  9. Wow, you could be SamTherapy and RobertEmmett's triplet brother.
  10. I like that movie but everything about it is depressing.
  11. I am already used to watching something else on Friday nights, since TCM rarely shows good movies then. What I have a problem with is having those loud promos on before and after every movie.
  12. I happen to like him, but many around here don't.
  13. > "The Bitter Tea of General Yen". One of the best > movies of the 1930s. > > "Red Dust". An excellent film. I have been waiting for TCM to show Bitter Tea.... have they ever shown this? If not, why not?
  14. I was looking forward to the old classics, but oh well. I don't think the ones that were made later are as good as the originals.
  15. " I mean there are countless movies I could go on for hours, however to have selective memory of our past and say that previous generations were purer than current is classic denial." I don't see anybody making that claim here. And I don't think you can compare The Wild Ones to Mudhoney.
  16. > Rebel With Out a Cause / Rochelle Hudson Bachelor Bait/Pert Kelton
