I was going to ask the same question. Since I don't watch idiotic network tv shows I don't keep up with those names.

Yeah, Rock and Roll High School is a great song, what does it have - 6 words to it? Those guys didn't play well nor could they sing.
-
My sweetie was supposed to move out here from the east coast by then, but he is not yet so I will stay home alone and cook yummy snacks and watch my dvds.

Hey, I subscribed to that magazine but I haven't received my copy yet! I have some friends that live their daily lives in vintage clothes, furnishings, etc and I am going to join them as soon as I can. The 20's to 40's are my favorite eras, which is why I get so upset when TCM shows movies from the 70's to now.
-
I've always liked Brando, but didn't care for James Dean.
-
In my opinion this one is much better than the promos from previous months. I didn't have to hurry and turn down the volume!

I have to agree. I also think the intro shot of Bill Holden in Sunset Blvd. is great.

Those pop up things are very annoying. Has anyone tried watching a baseball game on Fox in the last couple of years? Every corner of the screen has something going on, and then you get quick commercials in between pitches for crying out loud.
TCM doesn't need to start this up, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did the way things are going.

Still waiting for The Blue Dahlia and Ride the Pink Horse.

That's a good one Fred.

> DON'T REPLY!
Funny, I had to use the same tactic against our little friend from Texas. Funny how it's ok for some here to hurl insults but certain others may not.
-
That is so true otterhere, they all had to be multi-talented, now they just have to have "the look".
-
Very well put stoneyburke, and I agree jdb1 with the hair thing. That white blonde hair that some of the stars wore just didn't look right.
-
I think she was "cute" but not beautiful.
-
I get that feeling with Room With a View, the cinematography is amazing.
-
I hope not, it's the only one left with the nostalgic feel that one reel wonders and synchopation station had.

Growing up my favorite Christmas present was a doll that you could feed fake babyfood. In the 70's the toys weren't as cool as say 50's and 60's. I think my all time favorite is my beautiful art deco amethyst ring my sweetie gave me a couple of years ago.
-
You're exactly right jdb1. Every time this comes on I miss the old promo even more.
-
Thanks for the info, I'm always looking at the sets when I'm watching a movie. I'm especially interested in the art deco styles and up to late 40's.
-
I watched it too, it was a bit "different" but I liked it.
-
I didn't misconstrue anything, that just happens to be how it reads and how I read it. And I wouldn't comment favorably on her post because she omitted anyone who had opinions that did not match her own. And some of those who she mentioned still post, but under new names. It doesn't take a genius to see them.
By the way it's funny how you and the others like you think it's ok to insult.

"However, I do count myself lucky. When I first entered these boards we had the cream of the crop, and that is somehing I will always remember."
Mongo I think you could have put this in another way so as not to offend newer members.

mrsl I agree with you, I have hated Friday nights on TCM even before underground came along. This is when they usually show something more modern than I like to see.
