I agree with you that this prank still happens today and that it transcends time. I can remember doing this, but I would kink the hose and try to get my sisters to look into the hose so I could do this. My niece and nephew do this to each other. I like that even though we are looking at the first slap stick comedy it is something almost everyone can relate too.
