I believe "Nick of Time" with Johnny Depp was supposed to be in real time
-
LTL, thanks a lot for the info! I had forgotten about "Ed Wood", it's one that I like but I wasn't sure how much of it was true. As for Liev Schreiber I thought he did a great job, and I also like him in many of his other roles. I'll be sure to look for the other titles you mentioned. If anyone wants to see "Chaplin" I know that the Encore True stories channel plays it fairly often. Thats where I saw it.

Could someone name a few movies that do represent old Hollywood correctly. I've seen "RKO 281" about Orson Welles, and "Chaplin" with Robert Downey Jr.

Being of the early twenties age group I would agree that most only know of Alec from "Star Wars" and even then I'm sure a lot don't realize who he is or that he may have done more great work

I'm rooting for Bill Murray to beat out Penn -
definitely for a high school girl it would help to know some genres that she prefers, I'm a big John Wayne fan and could help with some of his such as "The Quiet Man" which I'm sure she would enjoy. As for others some good ones to start on might be certain actors like Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, James Stewart,Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Claudette Colbert, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelley, Hedy Lamarr(ask antar for more info) etc... Pick a few of their great classics and you can't go wrong. Also for Cary Grant you like "Topper" definetly watch "Topper Returns" which he id not in but it is hilarious and would be a fun movie to start with. I started a few of my friends with movies that were in color because they said they wouldn't watch B&W but after a while they started watching all types of classics with me.

Yes you are antar! I've read the trilogy twice and the books are amazing and then the movies are almost as good. Not many other movies come as close to the book as LOTR did. Even though "The Return of the King" was farthest from the book out of the three movies its still great. -
Cindarella?
