Hey thanks a lot prof!
Since my version wasn't that expensive I might sell it and get the KINO version instead, that was the other version I had mentioned.
I've noticed KINO has many other silents out too. Are they all of pretty good quality. Worth the price?

I'll have to try those books out sometime.
I was planning in watching "Intolerance" too, is that good?
Oh and thanks DPD

If anyone has seen this movie perhaps you could help.
I recently bought this movie on DVD and my version says that it is 82 minutes running time on the back and yet the movie was accually only about an hour and six minutes or so. There was a more expensive version on DVD but I bought the cheaper by Alpha Video which is alright but it lacks in great quality. The IMDB has several times listed and I suppose mine would be the 67 minute version, I just thought it odd the case said 82.
Does anyone know or have seen the different versions and if so am I missing much?

HEy DPD, I recently acquired a PDA. Do those books take up much space on them or do you need a memory stick?

THat one about suitcases beibg heavy. I recently watched "Beat the Devil" and when the guys geld held up at gun point they easily walk along holding up both hands with their luggage, except for O'hara(Peter Lorre)who struggles with his.

hey prof, any story about a dirty old man is always interesting.

I'm with you guys on the old B movies, I love the old B westerns especially, and maybe they could even show some serials like once a week or something. Like on Sunday mornings.
The idea about showcasing character actors movies would be great too.
-
Yeah I can't say that I've even seen too many of Dunne's movies but I love Claude Rains, "The Adventures of Robin Hood" is one of my favs.
-
I'm going with Gable on this one, sorry Stella, from the movies that I've seen of each I enjoy Gable more. I think its because Gable seemed more like a rough character a lot like my favorite actor the Duke.
-
Its a close tie but I'll go with Grant just because more of his films are among my favorites, but I have seen more films of Grant's than of Stewarts so I'll just keep watchin!

I watched "Three Comrades" the other night because I happened to see the ending about a month or two ago and wanted to see the rest. I thought it was great, with good performances from all the cast.Defenitely worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

you can knock someone out with a single punch and just as quickly revive them with a bucket of water

are you sure its not those peoples preference that they find Charlie funnier and not a lack of knowledge?

Msladysoul, you wrote that she didn't wear a lot of make-up and then right after that you said she looked like someone they gave a million dollar makeover too.I might be reading that the wrong way but it seems somewhat contradictory.
To me the most beautiful women that I know or have seen are those who DON'T require much make-up, but that too most likely is just my personal opinion.
I do think Hedy was beautiful, although I may not go as far to say the most beautiful.
