Thank you for your kind words. I am very proud I have taken up such a passion for the classics. To answer your question, my all-time favorite person is Elizabeth Taylor. I feel like a lot of people don't quite understand her; she is a remarkable lady. In my eyes, always stunning and how I long to meet her. However, I also love most of the actors and actresses from the 30s-early 60s. Among my favorites are Greer Garson, Jane Powell, Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett (I collect her show on DVD), Ann-Margret, Carol Lombard, Vivien Leigh, Debbie Reynolds, Mae West, Kate Hepburn, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Lana Turner, Gene Tierny, Jennifer Jones. Men: James Dean (whom I am inlove with), Rock Hudson, Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Paul Newman, Steven McQueen, William Holden, Howard Keel, John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando, Danny Kaye, Rudolph Valentino, Sean Connery, William Powell, Bob Hope. My favorite dancers: Gene Kelly, Ann Miller. My Favorite singers: Judy Garland, Bing Crosby(and others). I love musicals too!

People have said they think I have lived a past life as I am 18 years old and only watch the TCM channel, listen to oldies music (including swing, big band, and even Mae West), read only biographies of the classic stars, constantly research them online, and am dying to dress like they used to and am disgusted with how disrespectful and the styles young kids endure today. I feel so out of place in today's world and haven't found anyone else exactly like me. I was curious if any of you have experienced this same type of problem?

You know, this movie somewhat sounds similar to Gaslight, starring Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer. You should check it out. The husband turns out to be trying to drive her insane, and then she finds the answer in the attic after a while.

I am not sure how the rest of you feel, but I love all the comedians from the classic movies and television shows. There was no need for dirty comments, they were clean and naturally funny. I love them all from Bob Hope, to Danny Kaye (my cousin), to Red Skelton, to Carol Burnett, to Dean Martin. And for talk shows, NO ONE beats Johnny Carson and Lucy Ball. They are top of the line. I even love the Golden Girls! So who are your favorite comics? I would love to know

I, like all of you, am in love with the old movies, especially from the 20s-60s. I mostly even only listen to the music from the big bands to the 60s timeframe. After that, I see no reason to watch the trash that is created today. Except Law and Order SVU, I love that show. Anyway, although I am only 18, I wish I lived in the 50s because of the style of the clothes and the way people acted. Even going to the grocery the women looked so elegant. The men wore their pants on their wastes and the girls didn't have the middle section constantly showing. I envy those who lived in the past during that era because it was so glamorous and the stars take my breathe away every time I see them. How do the rest of you feel? May I add, the men were real men and completely gorgeous!!
