  1. "The Bride Wore Black" was a great French film with Jeanne Moreau. I think I read the novel it was based on but it was many years ago and I can't remember much about it. But I love Woolrich's writing. He reminds me a little of early Clive Barker.
  2. Years ago, I saw a great film noir about an unhappily married man who was honest and rather pedestrian in his life, but fell in love with a femme fatale and turned into an embezzler or some type of insurance fraud con artist. I always thought the movie was called "Pitfall," and indeed there is a film with that name with a somewhat similar plot line with Dick Powell and Lizabeth Scott and Jane Wyatt (before "Father Knows Best"). But what I remember about the film I saw was near the end there's a fist fight over the insurance money, and one guy screams to the other "I'll take the dough. You can have Marge!" I never forgot that line. Does anyone know what film this is? Thanks!
