  1. Not only do I agree, but I would argue that director M.Night Shyamalan has slightly modeled his whole career around his influence of Hitchcock. Particularly due to the fact that he makes a cameo in all of his movies as a nod to Alfred Hitchcock. While Hitchcock had a set of formal tendencies that he used throughout his entire career, M.Night also has a set of strategies that he works into his films (some straight from Hitchcock). He frequently uses Philadelphia as the backdrop of his movies, he often works with the same composer (James Newton Howard), majority of his movies touch on the topi
