Bridges at Toko-Ri (1955) first time I've seen it. I was SHOCKED when William Holden, Mickey Rooney and Earl Holliman die at the end. I thought it was going to be a big thundering war movie where everybody gets out alive and all the Commies day. Fredric March as the old Admiral was stoic and memorable. His final speech "Where do we get such men?" really got to me. It's one of the few Korean war movies I've seen and I thought it was very well done.

one more try: "Little Shop Around the Corner" was adapted into a movie musical "In the Good Old Summertime" and then into a Broadway musical "She Loves Me" in 1963. The movie stars Margaret Sullavan and James Stewart were supposedly involved in a love affair. "A Little Night Music" was based on Ingmar Bergman's "Smiles of a Summer Night." It was adapted into an American musical movie in 1977, starring Elizabeth Taylor, Len Cariou and Diana Rigg. In the original Broadway production actor Victoria Mallory, who played the bride Anye, fell in love in real life with her co-star Mark Lambert, who played her stepson in the play. (As an aside Mallory and Lambert's daughter, Ramona Mallory, had a leading role in the 2009 Broadway production with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury.) Is that right?
