I can't understand why Brief Encounter (1945) with Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson isn't in the TCM library!!! I saw it about 12 years ago on AMC but I have never seen it again. The video stores don't carry it either. I have looked it up on the internet and it is always rated 5-plus stars! Even AMC doesn't show it as part of their collection anymore either. Has anyone seen this movie? One of the greatest love stories ever. A real tear jerker. Two really good people have an affair but since they are married with children, it is an ill-fated romance. I don't condone adultery and have even judged people very harshly who engage in it, but with this couple, they seem so right together. You can't get mad at them.
I can't afford to buy it off the internet. Even though it is so old, it still costs a lot of money.
Why isn't it on the old movie classics tv channels?
