There is no mention of abortion, only that George and Martha cannot have children.

I believe the son is just a fantasy for them because they cannot deal with the brutal reality of their lives. George and Martha like to play strange games and the son was supposed to one only for their personal fantasies, when Martha mentions him to someone else, George kills him, according to the rules of their game.

I have seen all of these. 224 Death Of A Salesman is fine version of the classic play, though I prefer the TV version with Lee J Cobb -
Sundays And Cybele (1962) Great Christmas Movie
Det Jim McLeod posted a topic in General Discussions
This French film won the Academy Award for best Foreign Language film for 1962. It's about a shell shocked soldier (Hardy Kruger) who develops a friendship with an abandoned little girl (Patricia Gozzi) staying in Catholic boarding school. I love this film, it is touching and very unique. The scenes between Kruger and Gozzi are innocent and sweet, and the ending heart breaking. The final part of the film takes place during Christmas and it has become a Christmas staple for me to watch at Yuletide. The DVD has some special features and there is a great interview with now grown up Patricia Gozzi, she is still recognizable with those big expressive dark eyes. Is there anyone else a fan of this one? -

It is not set at Christmas but it is a great movie. Judy Garland gives her best non musical performance and Robert Walker's second best after Strangers On A Train. -
