  1. Edgar Kennedy was the friendly but bumbling cop on the beat in the Our Gang shorts. My favorite was in "When The Wind Blows" when a prowler is in the neighborhood and Kennedy the cop keeps saying "Kennedy always gets his man!" Even though the crook is caught by accident in the end.
  2. Victor Kilian was in This Gun For Hire with Laird Cregar
  3. Totally agree with this. "Dundee" has 3 of the actors who played the slimy villains in "High Country". Warren Oates (he plays a nice guy this time), John Davis Chandler (he's a racist creep) and LQ Jones (I can't recall what he played here).
  4. The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter Next- Fat City-Stacey Keach double bill
  5. No! No! Let's make it clear, that's when I stopped being hot for her!😄 That's when I became hot for Raquel Welch.
  6. One of Vincent Price's more underrated films of the 1960s. It was science fiction rather than horror, but it was an intriguing concept with Price as an inventor of a giant airship looking to destroy weapons of war. Charles Bronson has a rare early heroic role and Henry Hull is hilariously over the top.
  7. Yes, while I like the performances of Edmund Gwenn and Mildred Natwick, the humor is very low key, so much it is hard to detect it.
  8. Yes, I do think she was sexy in the 1930s and 1940s, after all, that seemed to be all she was interested in, at least as far as you could show back then. So I was hot for her, although that changed with "Myra Breckinridge"
  9. Mae West was a sexy substitute teacher in "My Little Chickadee"
  10. It got deleted. Spence then went totally bonkers on his "Hollywood" thread.
  11. Charles Bickford was in Days Of Wine And Roses with Lee Remick
  12. In The Cut (2003) Next-Zodiac (2007) 2 with Mark Ruffalo
  13. The Trouble With Harry (1955) I was not a big fan of the film (I think it's OK), but it is always the one I first think of when scenes of Autumn are mentioned. Any others?
  14. Angel Heart (1987) Next-Johnny Handsome-Mickey Rourke double bill
  15. Nicole Kidman Next-The Curse Of The Living Corpse (1964)
  16. It Chapter Two (2019) 7/10 In theaters The misfit kids have now grown up and get together to fight the supernatural evil clown that haunted them in the past. This a long (2 hours and 40 minutes) but engrossing version of the classic Stephen King novel. It has a good cast (Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Bill Hader among them) and despite the rampant CGI, it still has a good human story to it. I liked this chapter better than the first one. Which is the opposite of how I feel about the 1990 TV miniseries. There I liked the kids chapter better than the adults. I also liked the TV version better as a whole, but this new one is worth seeing.
  17. Here was a good sci fi film about a scientist who can walk through solid matter, including steel, but his touch becomes deadly. I hadn't seen this in many years, I saw the first half and bits of the second. The cast is great- Robert Lansing is the scientist, became well known for TV work, including "Twelve O'Clock High". He looks like he could be Robert Stack's brother. Lee Meriwether is Lansing's assistant. She looks great and was one of the better actresses to come from the Miss America pageants. She would also become a TV star, with guest spots on "Star Trek" and a regular role on "Barnaby Jones. And she played a very sexy Catwoman in the 1966 movie version of "Batman". Robert Strauss is a lecherous scientist with designs on Lee. He was best known for his Oscar nominated role as Animal in "Stalag 17. Most surprising is a very young Patty Duke as a little girl being babysat by Meriwether. This was before her Oscar winning "The Miracle Worker" and her self titled TV show.
  18. A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999) Next-The Lovely Bones -Stanley Tucci double bill
  19. Bernard Lee Next-Snow White And The Huntsman (2012)
  20. Another scene that was really striking was while Begley was going on his bigoted rant, the other jurors would get up and turn their back on him. Two remained seated- Jack Warden apparently didn't care since he had already showed his distaste for the immigrant George Voskovec character and E.G. Marshall who played the intellectual, unemotional character. Marshall lets Begley go on and on but finally is the one to tell him to shut his mouth, probably because this buttoned down guy cannot stand emotional outbursts, he is just interested in facts.
  21. They showed the boy at the beginning of the film, he appeared to be Puerto Rican, but could have been any other Latino. I think they should not have showed him and let it be ambiguous as to his nationality, since the Begley character does not mention it.
  22. "You Only Live Twice" is not on tonight either, it looks like they totally skipped that one. It's too bad, I think it's a good one. Q has a great scene with Bond, Aki is one of the best Bond girls and we finally see Blofeld.
  23. I love this 1980s film also. One review called it "To Senor With Love"
