I'm thinking of starting to record with vhs off tcm soon so whats the best brand of blank tapes? I was thinking of sony. Also, are we going to have another SUMMER UNDER THE STARS this year, I really hope so because I would start recording with that so I can separate and label each tape by the actor. Please write back and I will appreciate any and everything. Thank you.

Thats a shame. I want to read about the happy experiences stars had.

deeanddaisy, I like you I just don't understand what your promblem is with movies in color. There are some beautiful technicolor movies and they're real eyecandy. Some of them even have a better than usual story to back up and balance out so the gorgeos picture doesn't overrule the film. Also, whats with the numbers after your name, they're not very tasteful.

Rita sure did smoke alot didn't she? That would be the blame for her aging because you age certainlly, but most people don't age the way those interveiws put it.
-
A few suggestions, more cartoons (pick up the fleisher COLOR CLASSICS that amc dumped, they're at ucla), and only show your tv logo where the picture ends on letterbox films. And bring back the tcm newsboy for THIS WEEK IN HOLLYWOOD HISTORY but give Machiwitz another good job. Do these things and you will be perfect. C'mon people, this is a rare chance, tell him!

The entire cast of raymond too.
-
eddie, Don't feel bad, I love star wars. I like the se too just wish they show the original.
-
Why dont you go to amc Leo? You dont ever have to worry about them showing a silent there unless they run SILENT MOVIE by I think Mel Brooks and Steve Martin then you might be in trouble.
-
I bet Robert Osbourn did program this. If some young intern had his way he'd probably show new stuff. Leo would be watching STORM OF THE ORPHANS tonight and yeah, I'd like to here his screenwriting experience too.

What in the world, who is this guy. Man I dont know who you are, but you're probably in for some serious cussing out from more angry people than I. Its okay if you dont like a film but have them burned? You sir, go against everything I stand for and I demand satisfaction. If I had a glove I would give it to someone else to slap you. THE KID is a Charlie Chaplin classic to.

Another reason it was good to have a victory garden.

Thats good if you can play multiple ranges of different nationalities and still look your best. Didn't a lot of actors play AS the germans whether a nazi or a citenzen in ww2 films?
-
Thats alright, it don't matter. Its her performing skills and talent that count. Same with rita, I don't care if she's bald. I'd still like to know though. Can't hurt their feelings they're both dead.

While we're discussing looks heres a question, was judy garland overall, in general, pretty or ugly? My family can't seem to decide.

/SPOILER/ What was that movie they showed not to long ago that began with that father falling and dying off the high swing with an unborn child?/SPOILER/
-
How about CABIN IN THE SKY? I love it when L.J. (LUCIFER J.R.) says "lil joe, you is sick no mo. You is dead!" and lil joe sits up in bed real fast. Classic.

I like that short they did after WHAT'S MINE I GIVE. Was that the biginning of echopello? You know the one with the "galaxy of stars". Weren't they those inkblots band?
-
Ooh, what about Lon Chaney in LAUGH CLOWN LAUGH.
-
What and why are those certain versions on tcm? Around the world in 80 days is always that warner communications presentation. Why don't they show the actual complete print of the film? And I remember ON THE TOWN with that new looking embroidery around the movie.
-
I like THE PIRATE! I know, not a real pirate movie
-
No no no you're forgeting the king of death scenes Bugs Bunny.
-
What about THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY I think by paramount in association with Samuel Goldwin Jr. with Jim Carry expected to play the lead? Man I hope they dont mess it up thats one of my favorite movies.

Ah yes, how could I forget WB's great sound they even had a whole orchestra for their cartoons. I wonder if Treg Brown was responsible for the features guns and fists effects. Hmm now lets see who I forgot to give credit to. We've covered two senses sight and sound umm, I guese mgm smelt good.(he he). Thank you for your posts.
