Guys I spent time in a darkened theater watching Joe Versus the Volcano time I will never ever get back. Yes it was a POS how they thought that this was a movie to release to the movie going audience is Beyond me. I was soo bored what a lousy movie. What an embarassment for Hanks and Ryan. I also didn't like You've Got Mail it just didn't wrap up nice it didn't have the electricity, the chemistry of The Shop Around the Corner. However, I do think Tom Hanks is a wonderful actor and I would have watched Hanks instead of Cruise the other night..Throw out A Few Good Men and pencil in Apollo 13 TCM. Or Philidelphia which is a good movie show it TCM.

Another ? it is about Shirley McClaine's daughter sorry for the misspelling. I learned that she was in one of the Back to the Future movies in a small speaking role. How far did she delve into acting, did she ever appear in a movie with her mother? I also can't recall her name either. Is she the only child Shirley had? Has she been in any of Warren's movies? FredCDobbs was Otis Redding at the Monterey Pop Festival of '67 I know he was at one of the Monterey's not sure which if so how was that-I LOVE Otis Redding I am listening to him right now and I'm proud to say the kids love him also. Otis' performance at the Monterey Pop Festival was one of our first selections from Netflix.

Well, we ordered 3 Days of Peace about Woodstock...and I didn't like it thought it was boring ...don't get excited the performances I liked but the rest was boring to me. If there were 300,000 people there give or take surely someone out here in cyberspace of TCM might have been at Woodstock or knew someone who was there? IN the 36 yeras I've been here on earth I've never met anyone who was at Woodstock. How was it? Right now I need to get off the computer to make dinner. I intend to try to see if there is an official Woodstock website atleast for the original when I get the chance. Thanks for the info...gwtwbooklover

drdoolittle-I like Leslie Howard also, yes he died for England in WW2 he was a pilot I believe. Watch Pygmalion the movie that My Fair Lady was based on of course Pygmalion isn't a musical and is B&W but Leslie is sexy as the teacher of his Eliza. Of course there is GWTW but I'm sure you know that already. Of Human Bondage is an exceelent film. I feel Leslie Howard gets a bad wrap. Lots of people feel he was miscast as Ashley in GWTW and didn't give a stellar performance and therefore seem to write him off. I think he did as best he could and if he had lived he would have quieted the naysayers. Go to the IMDB(the internet movie database) and put in Howard's name and this should start you with watching Mr. Leslie Howard's movies.

If you only knew how much I missed being here with you all. I want to say Hello and I'm thinking of you all. I went on vacation saw my family and frolicked on the beaches. Then it was back home, back to school for the kids and back to work for me. This has truly been my first time at the computer except for a quick game of solataire since I've arrived home 8-11- 06. Hello! I also want to welcome any new members we are so glad to have you. TCM you know someone loves your channel when they tune in to try to guess who's day it is during The Summer Under the Stars when your on vacation and without a TCM or TV Guide. There I was in the Outer Banks and telling my parents about the SUTS and then saying because The Manchurian Candidate was on it could be Frank Sinatra's Day,Janet Leigh's Day or Laurence Harvey's Day(though I'm not sure if he made enough films to fill 24 hours) or Angela Lansbury's Day and sho-nuff it was Angela's Day. I love June Allyson. She made me happy. I remember her Depends commercials I was so young then but she radianted such warmth and I remember the commercials were done in such good taste. Then she was on the old movies which I love also and she just shined, just shined. People leave but I am so honored to have discovered Junie and endear to my lists of favorites. She was and will always be a treasure,a lady and horribly missed. I want to catch the Private Screenings which I pleasantly found on the movie list-thank you TCM and THANK YOU JUNE for the entertainment. God be with your family and friends at this time. I was watching about the Presidents on the History channel and with the first Mr. Bush and when they of course got to present president Bush and there was Cheney with the both of them. Now I expected it with 2nd Bush since he is the VP but he was everywhere with the first Mr. Bush just a younger version.....

garymeister you may want to see when The Wrong Man will be back on TCM. Now that I've suggested it I not sure how it is done however you have probably covered this angle.

This is why I hate DVDs they are easily scratched. I love the extra info and all that jazz but when I dropped a VHS I didn't have to worry if it was scratched and technically ruined. Isn't there a way that the DVDs can be covered with a protective coating like a clear laquer a polyruethane layer that protected the DVD but allowed the surface to be "read" or played by the machine? I would try a place that rents movies and exchanges in them and video games like for the Playstation 2 they would offer services for removing scratches. GOODLUCK!
