I stand corrected, yes, I meant ravished.

Yes, Ernest Borgnine he is still working and therefore would make time for a sit down with Robert. He did a bang up job in From Here to Eternity and The Dirty Dozen. My kids just giggled over his performance in Base-ket Ball.

How cool would that be never even thought of that myself sort of a la Survivor-they send in tapes of themselves to be considered. Maybe TCM PROGRAMMER can see if this is possible?

The PS with Betty Hutton was very touching and honest and she was so open and she praised Bob for his devotion to the cinema and she hugged Bob and I feel when she did that she did it for all of us. Bob is the man.

~*~Classic Film 21 Questions~*~
gwtwbooklover replied to littletramplover's topic in Games and Trivia
ike I once posted a time limit for those who did not pick up the game(24 hours or 48 hours atleast to continue the game) and classicfan responded by suggesting I pick up the game(or anyone else and she said gwtw why don't you start another game so I did) no response on the 24-48 rule. Anyone wish to comment on ike's suggestion one guess per clue per person? Or the time limit? Is littletrmplover still on line at the TCM website? I sense they are not how would one go about altering the rules? should we? See ike if we started the new rule I'd already be guilty of trangessing that one did it also before I read the rules. -

ike if you look back to the rules and the first game conducted you'll see how when the game is not played by the rule how aggravating it is when one breaks the rules. However it is aggravating when someone guesses wrong or guesses and you have to wait for the next clue to post and meanwhile someone else guesses despite the rules. This happened recently with the Me amd My Gal 21 Questions I knew the answer and had to wait for the original poster to put up another clue but another guessed anyway and got to continue the game. Anyway I guess the first correct answer no matter when it comes in could be the winner but littletramplover set it up by just that one rule one guess per clue. I have broke the rules myself before I knew the rules I just was so excited to post a guess mostly wrong of course. Anyway a recent problem has been winners who didn't or couldn't continue the game. Boy that is aggravating at times- you want the game to continue but you hope nothing has happened to the missing poster. -

The China Syndrome? a guess and I didn't try to check it out on IMDb though I was tempted. Probably way off base but this is the only movie I know with a Nuclear problem. -
Spencer Tracy's closing monologue in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? Is it suppose to be funny? Maybe you and a partner can do the classic Who's on First?

Hi Guys and welcome! Please post often and I think you all will enjoy our TCM family on the website. Hello! Come right in!

Thank you TCM for the great channel and the great website. I love communicating with you guys!

I love Bob just love him. He has opened my eyes to movies, talked me into giving some of them a watch and he just seems to me like a good friend. I've never seen the Clooney guy I have seen Dorian but he's no Bob.

Yes, ike358 you mentioning Dr. Zhivago made me think of a line I can't recall the correct line but it is the mood the setting that makes it an ironic line. Tanya suggests to Zhivago he go to the city where unknown to her Lara is the look on Sharif's/Zhivago face and his reaction is classic. I like the line from Dr. Strangelove also about not fighting in the war room.

Have you all seen the short between films that feature a dark-haired Lana giving an interview to all male reporters and then they are dancing and she is singing! I cringe when I see this. It is truly awful. Atleast Lana didn't have to cool her heels at MGM like Ava. Which role was Ava nominated for? Entertaining? most entertaining it is hard to say because on one hand this one is short on one aspect and then the next is short on another aspect. I do know that they both have one thing very much in common that is a frank and honest autobiography. I feel I can relate to Ava better I know I liked her movies better until I saw The Bad and the Beautiful and Lana blew me away. But I like Ava better and feel she did entertain me more so I pick Ava.

Wrong but here I go Close Encounters of a 3rd kind. -
I guess I'm putting in my 2 cents for best lines though they could be under fuuniest lines also.

When I read it was Joan Cusack's B-day I thought of one of her lines which is hilarious from In & Out she is in her wedding dress and stopping traffic saying(after she got some startling news from the groom) Stop! I'm having a heterosexual 911! I also like the narration from that movie when Kline is trying to see if he is In & Out and he plays a record and tries not to dance so he is suppressing the urge verbally but his body has other ideas and he's off dancing so funny.

This sounds like a movie I saw atleast the camping trip part a Barbara Stanwyck movie called Jeopardy. Now I had to go to IMDb.com and surf the movies she made till I found the title that matched the plot I knew. So I was cheating??? If it helps I've seen this movie twice and I say hey try this try that and get that youngin out of the water. I always think she could have shoved more to levy the pier off of his leg. A very physical movie for all involved. And probably a very wrong, wrong guess. -

ike I can understand the pressure believe me! good luck with a movie and then coming up with the clues. as you already know just logging in to give a possible answer is nervewacking enough. you don't want to post to much just in case someone beats you to the punch. GOOD LUCK -
I couldn't believe it still can't now. So sad and heartbreaking. God Bless him and his wife and 3 children and his friends and families. Yes, I hope he is sailing, playing sports and doing just simply what we all take for granted walking and breathing. He will be missed. So wished he could have reached his goal to walk by age 50. Recently read in a Reader's Digest article how he had gotten discouraged by his fight to beat paralysis so far but that he hadn't given up hope. It is just so hard to believe. Loved him in Superman and The Remains of the Day and a movie with Dian Cannon and Micheal Caine my sister and I watched it together it was a fine acting job-a whodonit who's title eludes me now. I still can't believe it Chris Reeve dead.
