Thanks guys for the info on Jane Wyman. Hope she is well. Was Jane on Falcon Crest? Or is my memory foggy?

Honestly, Slappy you don't think those environmentalists weren't trying to do a hatchet job on babs? Since she's such a big target or so outspoken? Maybe the environmentalists were earnest since she wasn't singled out her home was amongst others. But reading about it in your post made me think of the set-up of Frank Gifford{who should of went home to his wife} and the stewardess. But I haven't read the article and maybe the build-up of homes along the Pacific Coast way has long been a problem in CA. On the otherhand babs can't block negatives when one is within his/her constitutional rights... however flying over her home is another thing....anyway does the all american women have to born an american? I thought an actress would just pop into my head but no...anyway on the gay/lesbian followers of a particular artist I never knew Babs, Judy Garland or Cher had a so called gay following I liked them on their own merit and I bet others have to but they happen to be gay or lesbian. I tell you I watched Inside/Out and having been a Streisand listener this is when I found out that some people think listening to her esp. men that they were gay or possibly gay. Sort of how children learn to hate etc. by the stuff they are exposed to huh?....back to the main tread question how about Debbie Reynolds? I always believe she's so spunky.

I for one would enjoy a behind the scenes look at TCM

As I was going to sleep realized I possibly made a faux pas on my Leo asking for Sophia Loren's phone number-was North by Northwest made before Houseboat when Cary would have met Sophia.

How about the death of love? The scene when Rhett tells Scarlett he is through with her is sad. It is even more poignant in the book I cry everytime I read it.

Say it isn't so a remake of Alfie. Can't hardly believe it. I like Alfie the movie- I could of pinched off his head a time or two but what a movie ride-story telling that kept me watching though I was Apalled at this playboy. Does anyone remember when Micheal Caine won the best supporting actor some years pass? This is the year when Burt Bacharach and some singers like Garth Brooks and Faith Hill sang snipets of Best Songs thru the years. Anyway "What's it all about" was sung and the person with the camera didn't know to put the camera on Caine-I for one was dissappointed see they put the camera on other stars if they were there and they were affiliated with the song or movie it came from.

When you are telling your deepest darkest secret by all means leave the door open. Who you wind up with at the end of the movie is who you really wanted though you spent most of the movie chasing another esp, if your the co-star and everyone else is happy with this. You think nothing of someone breaking out in a song and you know the words and dance steps. No one asks the singer and dancers to be quiet even in a public place.

Here's something I've learned from the movies but each horror movie afterward never does-maybe they don't pay attention. If an evil alien has made your life miserable and you finally beat it to a pulp or into submission DON'T and I repeat DON'T go back to see if it is dead. Or at least go to a relatively safe place some distance away and pitch rocks at it If you must. RUN,RUN, RUN don't look back to see if you are still being followed-make tracks. Also I have always wondered... when characters get dirty they are magically cleaned in the next scene, they never get hungry and they get enough sleep even on the run.

I found out what a movie dummy I was when the 6 degees of seperation game was started. I was stumped. Not to mention reading names I didn't know..anyway this one racked my brain and wouldn't you know Slappy answered it with very few steps. Anyway if you won't mind I've solved it also if I can break a rule and use a TV show which I'm sure is a huge no-no. Please take pity on me while I do my Busby Berkley of an answer. Link Denzel Washington to Joan Crawford Denzel Washington to Matthew Broderick in Glory. Matthew Broderick to Christopher Walken in Biloxi Blues. Walken to Natalie Wood in Brainstorm. Wood to Tom Bosely in Love with a Proper Stanger. Bosley to Joan Crawford in an episode of the Night Gallery TV series. Special thanks to those who helped me with this in answer to A Crawford movie thread back in Information Please...venerados, deeanddaisy666,classicfan 1119 and bulldogcafe1

bansi4 I love your sense of humor and your dedication to cinema and your input to this website. Also all you others who like to inject humour-you guys are so funny. Here's my not so funny observation. Maybe, Leo was asking Cary if he can be in his next picture. Maybe Leo was asking Cary for Sophia Loren's phone number, if he had it. Someone posted ealier in the thread how about Thornhill's mother. She was a riot. I looked forward to her scenes and hoped she'd turn up more frequently.

A Plea....to you movie stars who are out there WE LOVE YOU and because you are older don't let that deter you from interviews. We want to hear you, to see you the history you have cannot be replaced. I just thought if we couldn't see you because of health reasons etc. perhaps you could talk while TCM showed clips of you films. Perhaps some of you feel you gave at the office and no longer seek the spotlight I and others respect that wholly. I have to get on my soapbox now-who made the decision that America wants younger, faster, better because they didn't contact me. I wish Hollywood would reconsider the actions they take sometimes they cut off a great career because one get older. Especiaaly, women and some of these women open their own production companies-you go girl. Off the soapbox now-and on to my next subject-aren't the Braves playing well this year? Does Ted Turner still own them? Ted could you help pay to secure airtime for our stars? TCM could Stop repeating some movies so much and there you go a place for an interview. I'm sure Ted puts in alot of money into the channel that bears his name. My bet is he didn't think it would grow into the phenomen it is today.Well, TCM it's big- the channel and the rooster of stars getting smaller. Honestly, does TCM pay stars for interviews? If not maybe there should be a set amount like the Tonight Show?

Surely one can enter over and over again. One thing you can learn from the film industry is one has to keep at it. Many stars wouldn't be where they are today if they gave up. I'm sure sometimes Henry Mancini ran into roadblocks TwOism-keep trying. Don't be to hard on twOism guys it seems this site for the young film composers is truly neglected by TCM. They haven't replied to questions by potential film composers. Which leads to your concern using this space for another purpose instead of letting it wither on the vine or burying it in the deep back forty.

Is Now Voyager based on a book? If so who wrote it? I love this movie also but of course this wasn't prevelent then but why couldn't bette and Jerry Vale be together? Jerry would divorce his wife and get custody of Tina {sighting cruelty on Tina's mother} because wouldn't Tina figure their moon and stars arrangement out and how could they give the poor child another cross to bear-better to come clean. I know, I know I probably pay to close attention to details and probably ought to get out more when one talks of movie characters like they were real.

I have always liked the grapefruit half in the face from public enemy-what a touch. Also like the scene in The Apartment when Lemmon's in the diner and he runs into the blond-headed lady who tells him about her husband.Well, the two end up dancing and if I can I like to catch this scene since it cracks me up talk about dancing close just leaning big time-it is hilarious then of course it is on to the next scene. I think I would have fell down trying to dance as the 2 do-drunk and dancing.

I have always wanted to know what it was Olympia Dukakis was cooking in Moonstruck in a certain scene what I best remember is it is morning and it is an opening {I mean an opening to the next scene} the scene is focusing right on the frying pan. Olympia drops an egg into what appears to be a piece of bread with a hole in the middle. Anyway it looks delicious will never forget when I watched it my brother said in a whisper to me while I was thinking it "looks good doesn't it?" If you know do you have a recipe? The scene shows her flipping what she is cooking and then I believe Cher's character walks in and they start talking. Thanks

I know this may not be very movie related but I am still upset with the the passing of one of my favorites. Especially on the heals of Reagan's passing and wondering but not wanting to know who next? Ray's music was so special to my ear and my heart and he had a way to deliver a song like no one else. Will miss him dearly..Brother Ray. On a movie vein and probably not considered great movie making by some The Blues Brothers Ray Charles was in it. He played a music store owner who the blues brother visited and they wondered how he stayed in business being blind and had inclinations to just run off with the instruments they wanted. However the boys had to reconsider when they found out how Ray stayed in business and kept people from stealing-very funny scene

I'm confused..was it a movie or a TV show? Night Gallley isn't the name of the movie-correct? Thanks for the info so far gwtwbooklover

I for one found the parts of this movie I saw very hard to watch-disturbing to be exact. Now mind you I didn't see it all but what I saw didn't make me want to catch it again.

Yes, that is it. A kiss before dying. I continue to rack my brain and can think of no more tennis movies what was the name of the first sister Wagner had dealings with at the college? What was her nickname?

Did you find the title to your Jean Harlow movie? You say you don't remember much well I remember A Jean Harlow movie but not its title ...do you remember any shooting....and Harlow leaves for London....where she meets a man named Andre{who was played by Cary Grant}...I always got tickled when Harlow had to say Andre because she said it with that Harlow voice Annnndre and thru the nose....Andre was in the military and he took Jean home to meet his father and he says a line that has stuck with me...the father asks Andre why do you want to marry this girl{it was during a war the 2 met} And Andre says because I think she'll make a charming widow.

Did you know there is an episode of Seinfeld alomg these lines? Cramer goes to a vacation home of George's girlfriend Susan and it is a cigar in this case.. Man I miss Seinfeld Sometimes it was hard to watch but always humorous...Wish I knew the name of your movie though good luck finding it

Tennis plays a small role in a robert wagner movie-can't remember the title but he plays a heavy who is romancing 2 sisters. Anyway Wagner's character seeing a picture of another character holding a tennis racket helps him make a pivitol decision. Didn't Esther and Rose just come back from playing tennis at the very beginning of Meet Me IN St. Louis?
