Hi to anyone who will help me,
A couple of months ago I saw a movie set in France ( I think!). It was about a woman who had been in love once upon a time but the man had no money and she married someone else to please her family. She had two beautiful daughters. They man eventually returns to settle with his son years later and both girls fall in love with him. He joins the navy but misses the ship while in china mailing a packet to the girl he loved. He is sent to Greenland where he must renew his life as a deserter. While drunk one night he writes a letter to the girl but writes the sister's name on it instead (Marianne). He has to marry her when she comes to Greenland to be with him. His business partner had been in love with this sister since he had left France because of a murder he committed in self defense. If you need any more information so you know which movie I'm talking about please let me know. I know this is lengthy but I don't know any of the actors or the title or anything except the plot.
