OMG bggalaxy! You are a saint!! That is the movie I have been searching for forever!! Thank you sooo much!

Ok, I am looking for this movie that I saw a long time ago. I can't remember when it was made, I'm thinking late 80's early 90's. I don't know any of the actor's in it but I can tell you how it goes. The movie is supposed to be in the 1950's I believe. There's this group of 4 or 5 boys in high school. One of them, the main character (he plays baseball and is blonde), is in love with this off-limits hot girl. When she breaks up with her tough guy boyfriend (her ex works in an auto shop), he trys to be like James Dean. The girl gets back together with her ex, and some how this main kid ends up taking the tough guy's younger sister to the school dance. They end up dating.

There's this movie that I saw once or twice when I was between the ages of 10 and 13. It was a horror movie I believe. I can't remember the exact plot, but it had to do with a sister and a brother (younger) and they were left alone while their parents went out of town. I can remember a record being played backwards, saying something satanic, and that triggering something bad. In the backyard a gateway to hell is opened up and it is up to the children to stop it. I know this is kind of choppy info, but it's what I can remember. If you know this movie, please, PLEASE let me know!! =) Thank you!
