It's been a while and I didn't see very much but here is what I remember... This movie was black and white and on TMC on Dec. 8, 2002 very early a.m.
A guy gets caught trying to steal a car and gets caught by the butler. He is introduced to the owner of the house who is an older woman. The guy says he wrote a screenplay and needs her help (?). She is kind of weird and constantly makes up excuses to keep him there. I remember he, somehow, goes in to the back yard and there is a pool, unfilled. From the outside, the house looks abandoned. I think he is on the run and other guys are looking for him. Hence his trying to leave.
The guy had dark hair. Handsome, kinda looked like a younger, thinner Rock Hudson/Gregory Peck...sorta.
Hmmm I will be shocked if anyone can give me the name of this movie with the pathetic amount of info I just gave. I'm also thinking that this movie is definitely film noir. Many, many thanks!
