I'm guessing TCM doesn't play more movies from the 10s and 20s because they get lower ratings or something, but as a lover of classic films, I would love to see more great silent films played on TCM. They are rare and difficult to find elsewhere. I'd especially love to see some silent classics that aren't available on DVD through services like Netflix and GreenCine, etc., like Hiawatha (1909), In the Sultan's Power (1909), Dante's Inferno (1911), Barney Oldfield's Race for a Life (1913), Quo Vadis? (1913), Judith of Bethulia (1914), Blind Husbands (1919), Phantom of the Opera (1925), Stage Struck (1925), The Wind (1928), and others. Anyone else agree? It seems half the silents played on TCM (though I do appreciate them) are Chaplin, Keaton, or Lloyd comedies. How many TCM fans like catching the silent classics that are hard to find elsewhere?
