  1. While I am here....I have had a nagging question for many many years that may sound dumb to many but still just wondering. In his death scene, Robert Vaughn slid down an adobe wall. At one point his nose actually caught on one of the irregular surfaces of the wall. It looked like a surprise "OUCH" to me but he never missed a step. I have always wondered if, in fact, it was painful and did he require any attention after the scene was shot. I have actually written to Mr. Vaughn's agency hoping to get a reply to the question.....but of course, I never heard from them. Does anyone know a way one might be able to find out facts like this?

  2. Maybe I am going crazy in my "old" age, but has anyone ever seen a World War II movie with a South Pacific Navy theme that started out in Black and White and then changes to color in the middle of the movie. I seem to remember the star of the movie was Gary Cooper. Like I said, maybe I am crazy.

  3. Thanks to all the posters. I am happy to see that my comments were appreciated and understood. It is true that very many of Glenn's movies have been shown on TCM. I guess that is why I have come to realize what a fine actor he was. There is a movement afoot to get him recognized for a lifetime achievement Oscar and he has his own website at Glenn Ford Online. A very interesting site and quite entertaining. Glenn is now 88 years old and it will be ashamed if his recognition at the academy comes too late.

  4. I read with interest the exchange that was taking place today regarding Rita Hayworth. I never thought of the rights issue if an actor/actress worked for a studio from whom TCM cannot use. I was very displeased with the fact that Glenn Ford was not featured during this "Month Under The Stars". Although, I have seen many Glenn Ford movies featured on TCM. More than enough to fill a day dedicated to him. I don't mean to take anything away from the stars that were featured this month, but it sure seems that Mr. Ford should have been included. Any comments?

  5. Have you ever seen something in a movie that made you wonder if it was in the script or did something go wrong? I have several nagging questions from films I have seen. I have tried to write studios, agents and any one else that I thought might be able to answer my questions but never get a response.

I'll give you an example. When Ward Bond fell off his horse while doing the river crossing scene in The Searchers, was that planned or did he actually fall off. In the same scene did he purposely run into a horse while trying to get out of the river or was that an accident too?

I have several other questions about other scenes in movies I have seen.
