A few years ago TCM showed a movie starring Dick Powell. I thought the title was something like "It Could Happen" but I can't find anything similar to the title in my searches. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Powell's character was named Rex Shepherd - he was a "humanimal" -had been a German Shepherd named King, a war dog, who was poisoned. The animal king (a lion) in "animal heaven" gives him permission to go back to Earth to try and find his killer and to save his mistress. It would've been a good selection for the "dog days of summer series" TCM sometimes runs.
I would like to find this movie on DVD or VHS...
