  1. This is the month for horror movies! Those are some good ones named. I too enjoy the Universal movies and wish to see one called The Old Dark House. I have yet to see it. I also like the Hammer films. Just saw Horror of Dracula last night..Lee and Cushing brought a lot to those old films. For some more recent flair I like Evil Dead. There's just something about the way they made the movie and how it was done with blood, sweat and tears.

  2. Any of the Universal monster movies ranks high on my list. Plus a lot of the Hammer Films have a special place in my list. It's just something how they made those movies without all the gore and with just basically by hand. A more modern day movie? I like the Evil Dead series. Another set of movies done by blood, sweat and tears. :-)

  5. I just like old classics like the Universal Monster ones and Hammer films. I did get to see House of Wax last year with Vincent Price and that was good. It just seems the movies from the 30s to the early 70s fascinate me. A lot of the stuff had to be done by hand unlike today's movies where computers play a big part.

  6. Well of course I have them on video. :-) But, there is just something about watching them on TV and not having to switch DVDs. Plus, Robert Osborne usually has some interesting things to say. Oh well, I'll stop complaining now.

  7. So Karloff being the star of the month last year was just coincidental? I actually thought it had to do with Halloween. They did have a tribute to Hammer Films too. Musicals? I don't get it. That's not very inspiring.

  8. Have you checked out the schedule for October? I'm hoping it really isn't complete because it doesn't look even close to as good as last year's. Is there any chance it might still change? I was hoping it would be like last year's cause AMC's stuff has gone downhill and all they care about it is modern junk.
