Thank you all very much for welcoming me. That is really nice. And sorry for bumping this thread to the top again, because of the time difference I couldn't respond earlier. I must admit that I don't know a lot of classic German films yet, because I started with American films and all of them, when they are aired on TV here, have a German dubbing, so it is almost like they are German, only they look American. But I prefer the original language. On almost every German DVD release is English a language option, so I always chose that, because it is more authentic. Can I ask you if there are subtitles on the "FP 1 Antwortet Nicht" DVD? What classic films have I added to my collection? Well I have a bit of a problem remembering the English titles and don't know if it's allowed to name movies from other studios in this TCM forum. Up to what year is a film a classic film? 60s? If you tell me I'll go and make a list and look up the English titles I don't know on Imdb.

I just found this forum and I'd like to introduce myself. [Don't know if this is common and not sure if this is the right category.] My name is Melanie, I am 22 years old and live in Germany. I learned English as a foreign language. No TCM on TV here, so my only source for most movies are DVD releases. Quite a lot of classic movies don't get a German release, so I began to import titles. Where are you all located?
