Perhaps Under the Yum Yum Tree, from 1963? Welcome to the boards!

Who is this gentleman?
-
>Yes, in fairness to Clinton, he did leave the country with a huge surplus and a balanced budget. A balanced budget is fine, but I do not see a surplus as a "good" thing. It simply means the government has more of _our_ money to spend (waste), which they promptly have done. Government lacks discipline. If you have children (government) blowing their allowance and constantly asking for more money, do you keep increasing their allowance, or do you say "tough noogies, that's all you're getting, so learn how to spend your money more wisely?" Speaking for myself, I know better how to spend and invest my money than the government does.

>Most of those 50s sci-fi movie featured that "new breed of woman" - the sexy scientist. and who still needed a guy to rescue her -
Hi starstruck: There is a thread similar to that in this forum, called Six Degrees of Separation. http://forums.tcm.com/jive/tcm/thread.jspa?threadID=35841&tstart=0 Would you like to add your puzzler to that thread?

You're welcome. There is a trailer here: http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title.jsp?stid=38&contentTypeId=130&category=trailer

Welcome to the boards, Bill. This sounds somewhat like Between Two Worlds, only the people are on a ship, not a train. Check here for more details: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0036641/

You forgot John Shaft. Everybody knows he was a bad mutha.

I'll take a stab at Robert J. Wilke. If I am correct, I will let someone else continue the game, since I have nobody in mind to continue with.

How about Nashville ?

>That was fun! I wonder if we can find stills of another movie within a movie? There is a thread in one of these forums on "movies within movies," or something like that. Some photos were posted, and I even managed to guess a few of them.

tobitz, anybody is free to post a photo, whether they guess the previous one or not, so step in whenever you feel ready.

You're thinking of Faith Domergue, and yes, she acted pretty weird in that movie for a "new breed of woman." Besides the examples you cite, she also screams when the monster is at the Golden Gate Bridge, and her colleague is trapped on the bridge. Great way to act in a crisis. -
which movie did this photo come from?

Maybe that scene was deleted from the movie. -
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea- the tv series

The black and white episodes were much better than the succeeding color ones, although they were fun in a bad sort of way. The early episodes seemed to deal more with cold war issues, espionage, and an occasional mad scientist. I remember an episode where the Mona Lisa was stolen. The color ones degenerated into the "monster of the week," and wondering which crew member would be taken over by an alien entity. I do remember one episode (but not the title), where one crewman (the short, well-built, dark-haired extra) was killed off early in the episode, yet appeared later in that same episode. And you always knew the boat would stat "rocking" every episode. Man, those repair crews were overworked. Still, it was a fun way to kill a Sunday evening. -

>I'm thinking of compiling a list of some of the worst French title translations. Might be fun. Nando - definitely would be fun. You might consider starting a thread in the *Trivia* forum, such as "French (or Foreign) translations - name the movie." Rich -

I wonder if "A Woman Seeks Her Destiny" is more of a tagline for the movie, since the title, Now Voyager, does appear on the poster. -

>And Shawn Smith. And Lisa Montell (even though she wore slacks).... Yes, I neglected those two lovelies. I enjoy the scene where Rod Taylor makes a crack about Montell's bow-legs, or something like that ...she has pretended to be a deaf mute, but can't resist responding to his wisecrack. Taylor should have been the star. Marlowe, although I like his films, always seems to come off as an arrogant person. -

*Tarantula* also features an early appearance by Clint Eastwood as a fighter pilot. It's actually a pretty decent movie, despite the nonsensical nature of it. -
Nice job everybody. I did crop the photo to omit Lou Costello, otherwise it may have been too easy.

Yo smokey, you misread lzcutter's post. She copied someone else's comments about Joan Crawford and was responding to those. I'm a little tired of Joan Crawford as well.

Let's toss in *Invaders from Mars*. As a kid, this one scared me because the kid in the film could not trust his own parents, and had to trust total strangers. -
Yeah, we'll give everyone a little more time. Maybe a few more captions will show up as well.
