  1. Or bad enough, depending upon your point of view. I did get a kick out of the "mugshot" with the girl in the bathing suit ... apparently no other photos of her were available. And Tommy Cook as the gang leader was truly repulsive (in his acting, as well as his character).
  2. OK, here we go: Lillian Gish - Gregory Peck Duel in the Sun Gregory Peck - Steve Guttenberg The Boys from Brazil Steve Guttenberg - Kevin Bacon Diner Kevin Bacon - Demi Moore A Few Good Men Demi Moore - Emilio Estevez St. Elmo's Fire
  3. Could it be Inferno from 1953? The female lead was Rhonda Fleming. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045911/
  4. Here is the Buster Crabbe "In The Spotlight" thread: http://forums.tcm.com/jive/tcm/thread.jspa?threadID=91531&start=510&tstart=0
  5. Any other information? Was the desert in the US or overseas? Do you remember what kind of clothes the actors were wearing? Was it a contemporary setting, or was it set in 19th century, for instance?
  6. I think his Tarzan yell was created in the studio and was not really him, although I heard him yell on occasion for fans.
  7. I've recorded most of them for later viewing. But so much for the "Now Playing Guide." It listed Riot in Juvenile Prison for 6 a.m. ET, but it never showed.
  8. >What he did with the wife, is that considered domestic abuse with special circumstances? This seems like a standard plot device. The mad scientist always has his wife locked up (due to an experiment gone awry), and then spends the rest of the film trying to fix her up by destroying other women.
  9. You have to wonder about the mentality of tv executives who approve these shows for production.
  10. Johnny was a great Tarzan, but his acting left something to be desired. His high-pitched voice didn't help either. Still, he had a good presence on screen, and there is no doubt he was made to play Tarzan.
  11. This was a good topic to post.
  12. I loved it too ... great performances by Mitchum and Kerr. I would not have liked to see them get married, however. I think the movie was about friendship (which usually lasts longer than marriage anyway).
  13. You can watch The Last Man on Earth here. Looks like the letterbox version. http://www.flickbyflick.com/moviedetails.asp?e_newest=239
  14. Mongo did a "spotlight" on Buster Crabbe within the last few months, I believe. I've never seen Ralph Byrd in anything, although I know he did the Dick Tracy movies. _George_ (heh heh) Reeves was the best of the lot, although he was typecast as Superman. But he did some really good comic work in that series, whether intentional or not. I think he would have made a good romantic lead in comedies. Now if you want to start a Phyllis Coates appreciation thread, I'm all for it. I always found her incredibly sexy. http://www.glamourgirlsofthesilverscreen.com/show/45/Phyllis+Coates/index.html
  15. Wow, that's it Jezebel .. I found that picture after you mentioned her. Can you help out with the photos in the *Information Please* forum, posted by CarrieLiz?
  16. Manimal was a series on NBC, ran from September 1983 to December 1983 ... obviously a smash hit. I guess Animale had already been used somewhere.
  17. The second movie is probably It Grows on Trees.
  18. And he says "nucular" instead of "nuclear" ... oh wait, wrong person ...
  19. And I guess I should note I was singing the title song from that movie.
  20. Yes, it ain't .. or ain't it ...or whatever ...
  21. >The mad scientist who makes the Manster has other mutated victims in a cage. including his wife, if I recall correctly
  22. "Money can't buy happiness .. still I'd rather be rich, rather be rich ..."
