  1. Well, one site says she played her role like her lip was paralyzed.
  2. Holy crap, I've never even seen any of her films. I took a wild stab, then found a youtube of her with Gary Cooper (I assume it's "Peter Ibbetson") and saw a little bump on her nose, so I gave it a shot.
  3. Heck, I'll just guess Ann Harding.
  4. I don't know if I'd classify this as a film noir ... more of a mystery, with a surprise ending.
  5. That reminds me, I got rid of my two leisure suits and my bright blue disco shirt.
  6. I may not know her at all. Do you want to leave it up so someone else can guess?
  7. This photo of her looks more familiar to me, but I haven't placed her yet:
  8. There were several other photos before and after her on the strip ... same person?
  9. No, you think you're Dobbs ... heh heh Hey, I saw some great shots in those strips of Lionel Atwill as Napoleon.
  10. She is not identified on the strip. Do you know who she is?
  11. I can't even watch Butch Cassidy ... once was enough, with that lousy Burt Bacharach "score." I enjoy his songs, but not his movie scoring.
  12. Interesting film, with a bizarre ending. Nice change of pace for Lorre, and even Fitzgerald (in the other direction).
  13. You're welcome, Violet. I watched The Indestructible Man, hadn't seen it in years, and it was a pretty good print.
  14. Several comments have been made about the music, so I will add my two cents here. In the late 60s, movie soundtracks started featuring collections of songs (Simon & Garfunkel in The Graduate for instance), rather than orchestral scores. This was a great marketing tool by the producers since they could make money off the movie and the resulting soundtrack. I use "soundtrack" advisedly here, because I barely consider these types of "scores" as soundtracks. On the other hand, in movies like Jaw, Star Wars, The Godfather, Patton, and plenty of others, composers maintained the tradition of using music to color the story. I haven't seen many new movies the last few years, but when I see previews, I notice (unforunately) that blaring soundtracks with rock/rap/loud screeching are in vogue. These are movies I always avoid.
  15. Why did they take a British actor for Ashley? Nothing against Leslie Howard, but how about an American with a slight southern accent? I'm not suggesting Johnny Mack Brown, but how about Randolph Scott? Then again, I also think Mantan Moreland would have been great as "Mammy."
  16. *And what's wrong with Jeffrey Lynn He's adorable.* Uh ... Jeffrey Lynn as Scarlett? Oh, sorry, I just watched the video. My mistake Message was edited by: scsu1975
  17. Wow .. were all three guys in that suit at the same time? heh heh It took me years of seeing this film before I realized Raymond Burr's scenes were tacked on.
  18. So let's see ... the first observation deck, visible in that picture, is 150 meters high, and Mothra is clearly longer than that. Yet, in the larval stage, Mothra did not exceed 120 meters. Somebody messed up.
  19. Welcome aboard, Cocofet. If no one here can figure it out, try posting it in the *Information Please* forum. Do you remember anything else about the film? Was it B&W or color? Were the people human-like, or aliens?
  20. Yes, he was in the cast. There are a lot of familiar names in the cast, but they don't seem to appear in this photo.
