Thanks, they look great!

Raymond Burr has never looked better

Actually, maybe you can just insert links for us if the images won't work.

I don't want to clean up after that thing.

That song does grow on you.

Africa Screams also has Hillary Brooke, and Joe (Stinky) Besser.

Maybe TCM will trot out Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd with Charles Laughton and Hillary Brooke (also in color). That's a bit more entertaining.

Actually, the Giant was played by Buddy Baer, who was Max Baer's brother. I think Buddy also played the cop. I'ts been awhile since I've seen this movie, but I'm pretty sure about this. Buddy also appeared as the Giant in Giant from the Unknown.
The "romantic leads" were bad ... James Alexander, and I forgot-who-the-girl-was. The songs are ok, for kids. I wonder who dubbed in Abbott's singing voice, because that certainly was not him singing.
The obnoxious kid, whose name escapes me (and I'm too lazy to look it up) also played in the "Spin and Marty" series shown on the Mickey Mouse Club, He played Marty opposite Tim Considine's Spin.

I think it's before Toto escapes, but I'm not sure. Somebody on here must have the DVD!!!

It is Jean Simmons. The man is not Richard Burton.

OK, I'll dream one up to keep things going for now:
Clue 1: A lighthouse is destroyed
-
They do.

Kyle, that scene was definitely there today. I started watching the movie about halfway through and did see that scene.

Part of Patriot Games is at Annapolis.

Geez, I take about 9 hours off from the board, and lots of stuff goes on.
Fred, when I said you were "close," I was being facetious, as you were, in your initial response. The woman is NOT Vivien Leigh.

Close.

Actors and film:

Well, that will teach you! B-)

I think I know this one, but I will give someone else a chance, since I prefer guessing rather than making up clues!

The Atomic Bomb was dropped in August 1945, so the war was still going on when the film was re-released.

*Stars in my Crown* is a nice little film. Not too many have heard of it, but well worth a look.
I am looking forward very much to seeing *Trader Horn* for the first time!

laffite, you're probably thinking of William Beaudine. I believe his nickname was "one-shot."
