*Magnani is truly a fearless ferocious force of nature. But aren't all Italian women.*
You obviously didn't know my last two Italian girlfriends.

That's because you're having deja vu

So I guess you found this site:
oops, never mind

Apparently it's a lost film ... a talkie.
-
OK, this will narrow it down somewhat. The pretty lady is Betty Compson.
-
Well, it's Myrna Loy, not sure of the movie though .. but I bet it came out in 1933.

Argh ....

holy moly

Yes ... sad that he had to go out that way ...
-
This thread has deja vu written all over it.

I've got it! I know the girl, and the movie, also found the photo. I'll wait to see if anyone else gets it. She is definitely not Gladys George, nor Louise Fazenda, but he is definitely Grant Withers (thanks Violet).
-
That does look like Withers, but I'm not sure about Fazenda.

I guess this is a good day for TCM to be showing Where the Boys Are so you can get that warm, Ft. Lauderdale feeling.

He certainly did a good job playing a repulsive character.
-
I think some of those Combat episodes might be on youtube.
-
I agree .. he tended to play a lot of mean-spirited roles, but I've heard that he was really a gentle man. He was excellent in Blackboard Jungle, as was the entire cast. I also grew up watching him on Combat.

These are great videos, and I see there are plenty more ... you just saved me a lot of time! Nothing I can post would compare to this stuff. Thanks!

Those *Plain Text Help* things showed up one day several weeks ago, then disappeared. Now apparently they are back to stay.
-
I just located them, all in one album .. it will be a little difficult to scan them because the photos are glued in apparently, but I can do some of them for sure. I'll try over the next few days. Now the question is, where do I put the photos? In this thead? A new one? Should it be something like "identify this exhibit," because in some cases I may not remember what they were.

I have some 8 mm silent film of the Fair, which I transferred to video and then eventually to DVD. I also have lots of stills, black and white I think. And I have several souvenirs, including two plastic dinosaurs from the Sinclair exhibit, and a 33 1/3 record from the Traveler's exhibit. I can try putting up a few photos from the Fair if there is any interest.

I ended up fast-forwarding through the Zombie one ... it was too dull. At least Rat Pfink was good for some yucks.
-
Correct, norbell .. although I have no idea how De Souza fits in, since I was going for Hal *March* with Clue 1.
Your move.

I think the first film in which I saw her was Born to Kill ... on TV, of course
