VALIANT IS THE WORD FOR CARRIE
-
It looks like a nun, and a guy in a Russian uniform. But neither of those clues got me anywhere,

If you play the game again (on the same day), I think it is exactly the same. So some players probably have the answers memorized after several attempts and thus get high scores.
Although ... I just tried it and it won't let me play more than once ... something has changed.
Maybe people use multiple screen names,

You can try imdb.com, where you can search for names, titles, characters, quotes, etc. Two movies with amnesiacs in the lead that come to mind are MIRAGE with Gregory Peck and SOMEWHERE IN THE NIGHT with John Hodiak.

Thanks for the tip.

The second link was the story I remembered. Thanks.

And all boxing movies are alike. The guy is a nobody and he has to train hard to become a somebody. He gets punched around a lot, but he becomes tough. Gangsters try to get him to throw fights and they try to rip him off. Dames come in and out of his life. In the end, he either wins or loses the big fight. He either winds up the Champ or a nobody again.
Fred, you should check out CINDERELLA MAN, Yes, it's about boxing, but it's more about a man trying to provide for his family during the Great Depression. I think you would enjoy this film.

Wasn't there a case recently (Texas, maybe) where a guy shot some would-be burglars on his neighbor's property?

March plays a judge accused of the mercy killing of his wife. The ending is a bit of a cop-out, but overall it's an interesting film.
-
Speaking of mercy killing, if indeed we are, have either of you seen AN ACT OF MURDER with Fredric March?
-
I don't recall the apes writing either, but Heston DID write notes to them in English, which the apes understood.
-
I didn't, but then again, I haven't seen it for a long time. I'll have to watch when it's on. I do remember Shelley Winters underwater.
-
Well, the bottom two both had Leslie Nielsen in the cast.

The question wasn't disgusting, the solution was.

Hi, Panhandle, and welcome to the boards. I think this is the movie:

I understand, I misread what you wrote .. but at least they were your words

Why not move this to the Trivia forum? Sounds like a good new thread to start.

A rich elderly lady died and left her family her priceless diamond, if they could find it, the only clue was it was in a cylender suronded by a thousand squares, where did she hide it ?
Oh, that's disgusting ... someone is bound to find it, especially if they have IBS.

Veddy good Fred.

I am staying out of the homicide debate.

What 60 minutes episode was this? When the Scarecrow gets his brain, the geometry statement he utters is completely false.

Don't you need three weighings for 9 marbles?
No, it can be done in 2, and not the way Violet is suggesting either

I was checking on Marie Wilson earlier, when metz mentioned a TV show .. guess I did not check far enough. Actually, she looks more like a young Zsa Zsa Gabor to me.

The Trivia Game

I did discover one thing. You can just make up a screen name and play the game, whether you are logged in or not. But even if you log out, or come back to the trivia game, it still "recognizes" your made-up screen name and won't let you play under another. So it must "recognize" your computer. I suppose I could try getting in through my laptop and see what happens. But this seems like a bizarre way to try to improve a score, and, as you said, how can anyone answer all the questions and still have 400 seconds left?
