WNET-13 was (and I think still is) out of NYC.
All those channels you mentioned, I also got in CT, as well as Channel 8 out of New Haven, and occasional Channel 3 (during a freak storm) out of Hartford.

Yes, we want to know who the first narrator is, before Orson Welles does his thing. The first narrator comes on during the Overture. If you don't have the "alternate" or "roadshow" version, you probably don't have the narration. If you can upload the Overture to youtube, we can all have another look/listen.
