(Two of Barbra Streisand specials appeared on PBS a few years ago.) But I was happy to see the first Sinatra special last night. I think it appropriate to showcase these performances by a legend who was a star in both film and music. And, unlike Elvis, Sinatra never made a "concert film" that could be incorporated into the schedule. Thankfully, unless all Hell breaks loose later in the month, it seems the Frank Sinatra specials on TCM are going to pass with only a whimper. But I wanted to note tonight's beginning of the Sinatra Event on TCM - even though *Some Came Running* isn't scheduled until the end of the month. This has been a very difficult month to plan out. Two days a week for Sinatra, exciting Essentials to acknowledge and Memorial Day - for which I have some really unique items to offer. And then there is that extra-special birthday on the 7^th^. With so many TCM events to plan around, it leaves little room for creativity. Maybe next month. But June has two nights a week for the Asian Images series. I guess there's always August. Click through on each of the titles to be able to read the details on each film. If you are sure you saw the film on TV in the 1950s, I would pay close attention to his films from the 1940s in your search. Am I wrong or did/does Regis Philbin have some sort of (tenuous?) connection to the Rat Pack and Frank Sinatra? I know he was the announcer for Joey Bishop's television show but did it go further than that? If so, I wonder if he was approached to offer reminiscences of Frank Sinatra during this month's Sinatra event? I am not too excited to hear from Sinatra's children every Wednesday evening and am hoping TCM asked some other "showbusiness" associates to speak on him. Kyle In Hollywood
