*"D'oh! I thought that was supposed to be William Powell. My error! (or the artist's...)"* - filmlover
I think the blame lies with you. Kapralik is very good with William Powell caricatures. See *Love Crazy* and *I Love You Again*.
And you mistook Hedy for Roz. There aren't many that can claim to have done that before. (Or admit to it! )
Congrats on getting the film title right.

*"Sheesh! I can't get the images to load more than the top 10%, so I can't play until my dialup returns to normal."* - smileys
I'm sorry. Some of these images are quite large, digital-wise.
If they just "stall" when loading, try right-clicking on the partially loaded pic and choose "Show Picture". Hopefully you can get the images to load one at a time that way.
It also helps if one's cache isn't emptied after browsing session so that the complete images stay in your history and don't need to reload themselves each time you come to the thread.
I'll also see about uploading smaller files.

*"Then instead of No Time for Comedy, Come Live With Me."* - filmlover
Well, you got _that_ one right. (Can't believe you thought that was supposed to be Roz Russell in the image.)
But you're still not right about the other one. The answer is right there in the picture.

*"I didn't see a reply to my guesses yesterday. Were they all correct?"* - filmlover
Yes. Your answers to the first three postings were the correct titles.
*"No Time for Comedy" and "Waterloo Bridge" & "The Bad Man" and "Love Crazy"*
Nope. You've got one wrong in each pair.
Here's the Kapralik creation for *Love Crazy*.

*"Pancho Villa with Wally Beery ..."* - lzcutter
Not unless the film was also known as *Pancho Villa*. I've a different title.
*"Is the one with Myrna in the chic little hat from The Thin Man?"*
Nope. Remember, there are for MGM films from the 40s.
Glad you are enjoying them.

I recently found a bunch more of these Kapralik "Still-Life" promotional pieces for MGM films of the 40s.
Thought I'd go ahead and add them to this thread.
But this time I'm letting you all figure out what films the artwork is promoting. Some are more than obvious. But others, not so easy.
Have fun.

No surprise that 'gagman66' lists "Fragments" as a Favorite - only that you are the first to list it. I, too, think it is one of the best highlights from the first six months. It was fascinating.

I think TCM should consider a repeat showing of *Rififi* real soon. I didn't think it would be such a stand-out selection given all that has been shown in the first six months. (Had everyone already seen *Scarlet Street* when it premiered last month?)
And for those new found fans of staffer Shannon Clute, here's an idea for a Christmas gift this winter.

"The Maltese Touch Of Evil" will be released December 13th. Put it on your wish lists.

Good Morning -
A new member has registered using 'hotmale.com' (yes, the addy) as their name. I wasn't sure if it was an actual site or just a cute play on the name of the Microsoft webmail system.
Well, it is a website. And not surprisingly, a pornographic one. Now, the member doesn't link to that site in any way, hasn't promoted it and hasn't been a troublemaker. But I think the name should go.
I'll let you all decide how to get the member to change it.

*You said on Mar 10:*
-3 Month schedule is coming back,
*"Well, that was about 4 months ago and they have never come back."* - FCD
Nice try Fred. I am flattered you think I am WebAdmin. But I am not. (Renee is probably insulted though.)
(Oops! I thought that was directed to me. I didn't notice you were asking Lynn that question.)

WebAdmin posted what what you partially quoted above.
"-3 Month schedule is coming back, we are working on it (currently it is 2 months)"
http://forums.tcm.com/message.jspa?messageID=8501409#8501409
This was also reposted by 'lzcutter' numerous times during that same time. I may have reposted that info too but don't remember doing so.
What WebAdmin was referring to in the above quote was accessing the TCM listings three months in advance through the daily listings. It was implemented and that is possible today.
Shortly afterwards (about March 17th), WebAdmin posted that the website would not have links to upcoming monthly listings in any format other than the daily listings.
http://forums.tcm.com/message.jspa?messageID=8521689#8521689
Ever since then, it has been apparent to me that TCM would not provide direct links to the future monthly schedules through "official channels" on the website. (In fact, I was one who questioned if they were even there before the upgrade was implemented.)
So I was not one who was claiming the printable schedules would be returning to the site after being told March 17th that it wasn't going to happen. But I did say that I believed that the links ferretted out by members and posted in the Forums would continue to be active. I still believe that to be true and that the inaccessiblity to those pages during the past week is only temporary.
And just to be completely clear, I consider the tcm website to be separate from these Message Boards.

*"Oh? What "led you to believe that"?"* - FCD
"If I told you I'd have to kill you."

*"Then those "secret" links stopped working last week, around Thursday or Friday. And you STILL keep claiming the links to future months will be restored."* - FCD
I don't think I ever claimed the _website_ would reinstate those links to upcoming schedules. If I did, it was a poor choice of words on my part.
But I am led to believe that the links that others post here in the Forums will become functional once again. And that is what I meant with what I posted below earlier today.

It is very thoughtful of you to try and post some of the September Schedule - even when it displays so oddly in here.
If you try it again, you might want to try using the "Plain Text" option/Composition Window and not the "Rich Text" option that is the default selection. That should alleviate the large text size and other display issues.

*"Well, Kyle, if there was ever any doubt in my mind that you are on the TCM payroll you have erased it."*
You don't know how ironically "funny" that is today.
No, I do not get a check from TCM. Or from any company affiliated with or under contract to TCM.
The way I see it, many of the most pressing functionality issues that developed since the changes were implemented have been addressed. Many that disappeared last week were reinstated today. And I fully expect the advance schedules to return - at least through links found in these Forums.
I think the biggest issues outstanding right now are the lack of a "Quote" feature in the composition window followed by a "Request A Movie" page. But I am sure you will let me know if I am wrong about that.
So whaddya got? If you really have "dozens", I'd love to see them.

*"I also can't access my list of recent posts. Is anybody else seeing this? I click on it. All I get is my own profile! I've lost my favorite means of tracking threads."* - redriver
'redriver', your "posting history" has been reinstated to your profile page. Just click on your name and you should see the last ten (I think it's ten) messages you wrote.
Same goes for everyone else.

*"I don't attribute it to avarice, i.e. trying to force us to order the guide, or malice (that would be ridiculous.) I'm perfectly willing to attribute it to incompetence, and accident."* - VX
And your rational attitude toward the situation will be rewarded soon. Please be patient because you're right. With the same info available on the daily pages, reasons not to have access to the advance schedule pages (once they are finalized) are few.
And I hope that there will even be an official site link to the next month's printable schedule available before the 1st of that month. I've put in the request. It is all about how best to execute it.

*" "Iffy" has become a "no go". I was going to do my best imitation of lzcutter and submit a schedule at the last minute, but three days with little or no internet service has put that idea to rest. Sorry."* - smileys
If you give me something for the "3x3" requirement 'kingrat' has added to this Challenge, I'll add your name on the schedule I have going. We can be the Stan & Ollie of the Programming Challenge.
