"3 MONTH SCHEDULE - Available by month through the dropdown menu (calendar) on the Schedule"
*"Is anyone able to find this fix?"* - MovieMadness
MM -
Before the "upgrade", was one able to access the full-month page of listings for upcoming months through the daily schedule page? I don't remember as I never accessed them through that area.
I do remember tabs for upcoming months' _daily_ schedules that displayed daily listings for the coming months - but not for the full-month page. I've always accessed upcoming full-month listings through an adapted webpage address.
Otherwise, the three-month schedule _is_ available - by day only - through the drop-down calendar menu. This is just as it was before. If you are looking for a link to the full-month page for June or July, it isn't there. And I am not sure it was there on the schedule page before the recent site changes. Let me know if I am mistaken.

Today (in about an hour) the Original Concrete Slabs from the forecourt of the Chinese Theater that were on display at the 2011 TCM Classic Film Festival will be sold at auction. Here's the auction listing (with nice photographs of each).
Check out the "minimum bid" required to open the bidding. Ouch!

TCM has always removed past month's schedules from the site. I don't know why. I know there are other sites on the internet that archive the TCM schedules so maybe a Google search will find that one missing month for you. Or perhaps someone else here knows one of the sites that does have it.

*" But to repeat, where are the June and July one-month schedules? If not by clicking on the "month schedule", is there a link which leads to these non-May schedules? If so, it is not at all obvious. But perhaps I am just too old to see it."* - O_Is_D
There is no link on the Schedule pages to the full month schedules for future months that I can see. But here are links you can use...
June Schedule -

July Schedule -

*"Then there is the matter that so many have been concerned with, which is the fact that a new day starts at midnight! Why do you suppose this blatant error continues to exist? It is still a problem and it has not been fixed."*
I wouldn't call that an error. The TCM schedules (like all programming schedules for television stations) use the 6:00am EST as the start of a new day. And the online TCM schedules have always used this formatting. It was that way before the "upgrade" and it shouldn't be a surprise to see it continue afterwards.
*"Then there is still a tiny little complaint that, at the top right of the first page of the month, it lists ET (can't seem to get rid of this thing) as the time zone (none of the other time zone designations are shown), even though my time zone is the Pacific zone, which is certainly not abbreviated as ET. Is it, Kyle? Still a problem."*
Are you referring to the daily schedule page or the monthly schedule page? To change the time zone on the daily page, use the drop down list where one sees the EST in the box. (Click on the carat pointing "down".)
If you are referring to the monthly schedule, then the problem lies with your browser. I have all four time zones listed in the upper right hand corner and can choose the one I want to display (if it doesn't automatically go to the Pacific Time Zone). Try going to the daily schedule page and choose PT from the drop down list. Then go to the monthly page. Often the page will remember your choice of time zone. Otherwise, you might want to open the Monthly Schedule page, let it load and then hit "refresh" to see if it brings up the page with those multiple Time Zone links available. If that doesn't fix it, then there may be a problem with compatability with your browser and the IT Dept. will have to figure out why that is.
But you wrote earlier " When I click on the "month schedule", up comes the May schedule in four different time zones." so maybe it is the daily schedule you are talking about. I just went to the Daily page for June 1st and it displayed the listings in PST without my having to choose that time zone.
I will question why the calendar grid that shows up when changing the daily schedule runs with Monday on the left and Sunday on the right. I've never before seen a "calendar grid" that has Monday on the far left as the first day of the week. But that's "no biggie".

You searched everywhere but the one place you would find it - by searching the Message Boards themselves.
The "TCM Programming Challenge" is a creative endeavor among many of the members of this community. It began in 2006 and has been a reccuring event here ever since. It is organized by the community and is not sanctioned by TCM - though TCM does take an interest in the results of the community's programming ideas. Many themes and premieres that were part of previous Challenge Schedules have found their way into the TCM Schedule.
For a sample of what's come before, use these links so to familiarize yourself with how the Challenge operates.

Looking at the Daily and Monthly Schedule pages (using the links in the banner at the top of the page), it seems all the "problems" have been addressed and fixed. The pages display all the titles for every day, display (and retain) the correct time zone and include the one-line synopsis.
Are there other schedule issues that remain? Or have the schedule problems finally been resolved?

Ohhhh, I am beginning to feel really old around here. The first sign was seeing JeanSimmons as an upcoming "Star Of The Month". This is the first time in my history of watching TCM that a "SOTM" has been repeated. That made me feel like an old-timer.
And now I seem to be the only one that remembers when TCM did have Viewer Request Nights. They were sporadically programmed about ten or twelve years ago. It was so long ago that viewers sent in their requests on postcards! I'm not kidding. (Still remember that Techwood Drive address.) The evenings were offered about two or three times a year.
TCM also ran a "personalized" Memorial Day Weekend event that was created around requested films that were important to viewers who lived through WWII. I don't remember what year that was.
A few years ago the subject of resurrecting "Viewers Request Night" came up in here with 'tcmprogrammr'. It was part of the discussion after the very first Message Board Programming Challenge which the programming department pays very close attention. At that time, 'tcmprogrammr' wrote that there was no plan to bring back those evenings as they already have a difficult time finding space in the schedule for the evenings of programming they are currently committed to presenting.
But that was about five years ago now. It might be something that TCM would reconsider for the future as the channel seeks to have their viewers become more involved with the channel on a personal level. Besides, in 2011, they can do away with asking for postcard submissions.

You're both welcome. I'm glad I brought it to your attention and that The Jukebox excites you as much as it does me. I know I'll get lost in there for hours real soon.

Because everyone in this thread should be made aware of this - if they aren't already.
The National Jukebox at the Library Of Congress
From the LATimes -
"The Library of Congress is flipping a switch Tuesday that will open a large chunk of the national archive of more than 3 million music and spoken-word recordings for public online streaming as part of a new National Jukebox project, a joint venture between the library and Sony Music that will give free access to thousands of Sony-controlled recordings long out of circulation because of commercial or copyright issues."
"Some of the 10,000 titles streamable at the new National Jukebox website have been unavailable for more than 100 years, a significant chunk of them because of complex laws controlling ownership of sound recordings, which did not become subject to federal copyright laws until 1972."
"Among the highlights are vintage performances by celebrated classical musicians, including Enrico Caruso and Fritz Kreisler; the first blues recording, ?Livery Stable Blues,? made in 1917 by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band; a comedy skit by the Vaudeville team of Gallagher and Shean; speeches of President Teddy Roosevelt; piano performances by jazz-ragtime pioneer Eubie Blake; and music of the John Philip Sousa Band conducted by its namesake."

I've read that there are even recordings of Gershwin numbers by the Paul Whiteman Orchestra available!
But the site seems to be overwhelmed today. I couldn't get in earlier so be patient.
Have fun!

Too funny. You've outdone yourself today. After claiming the TCM Staff were actually hired actors, picking fights over the idea of a library and accusing TCM of presenting gratuitous nudity, calling Lynn and I Klan Members is priceless.
But keep it up. TCM thinks your hysteria is hysterical too.

*"We see some things in TCM's current schedules that have raised our red flags."*
And the Boogeyman in under your bed.
And there is a Monster in the closet.
And this is as infantile as being afraid of your own shadow - because your "concerns" are in response to phantoms of your own creation. You've been raising a ruckus about this for months and it is getting rather tiresome.
If you believe it is going to happen because of corporate greed, you should be intelligent enough to know that you and no one else won't be able to stop it.
In the meantime, you're just displaying the traits of a classic internet nuisance.

*"My question is why some movies - for eg: "South Pacific" when shown on TCM-USA is not shown on TCM-CANADA?? It must be some 'legal' issue, but I would hope that it's something that TCM could address. I'm sure TCM monitors this board so maybe they could explain"* - libradoll
You're correct. It is a "legal issue" that keeps TCM from showing certain films in Canada when they are shown in the USA.
For certain films, the discrepancy is due to other Canadian television channels having the rights to show the films at the time the film is shown in the USA.
For other films it is because no one knows who holds the rights for showing the films in Canada. This is particularly true of some older films and film libraries - the most "notorious" being the films from the Hal Roach Library. No one knows who holds the Canadian rights to most of those titles. TCM has invested a lot of time into trying to discover who might be the licensee for the Roach library but to no avail. It is really a conundrum.
TCM has a section in the FAQ area devoted to questions about TCM-Canada. Use the "Help" link at the bottom of this page, choose FAQ's and then "Knowledge Base." You should see a separate area about "TCM in Canada".

Hi VX.
OK. So I was mistaken. You remember such links to the full-month pages being there in the past. I am sure that returning them will be an easy addition.
