I believe the movie is 1960's" Hell to Eternity" with Jeffery Hunter. Based on a true story of Guy Gabaldon a hispanic boy raised by Japanese American foster family in the 1930's. Good Flick. vallo

If you had a say in Overall Programming what would you do?

Some people love to complain, before TCM we had to rely on other channels and HOPE they ,1st-show our favorites and 2nd.-show them uncut and without commercials. I've watched AMC from it's start when it was called "Montages" and showed only 2 or 3 movies a night, then repeating them. Now they edit them to bits. So each day I notice more and more younger people checking out older Classic movies. Like HelenBaby said If you don't like it, change the channel but, you'll never fine another channel dedicated to showing the best that Hollywood has to offer. And even if the film is repeated and it's good, I'd watch it several times because it's what I want in my entertainment. So go ahead switch but I bet you'll be back. vallo -

I'd have to say Burt Lancaster in "Field of Dreams" although he made some TV movies after Field of Dreams, It was his last Movie role as Dr Archibald "moonlight"Graham. Small part but he really made the picture worth seeing. great line: Just once, to stare down a big league pitcher. To stare him down just as he goes to wind up.wink, make him think you know something he doesn't. vallo
