  3. Bud Abbott was, if not the best straight - man in the business. It's a shame that Costello and himself owned money to the IRS,and he died living off social security,especially when they did all those USO tours for free during WWII for the USA. What a shame. vallo
  4. I was watching the other night "Destry rides again"1939 and when Marlene Dietrich was singing "See vhat the boys in the back room will have" all I thought about was Madeline Kahn in "Blazing Saddles" I couldn't keep a straight face. She was one of the best and she is still missed. vallo

  7. Also try moviesunlimited.com or amazon.com but sometimes the movie may NOT be available on DVD or VHS. Keep checking this site,sometimes there are movie alerts. The hardest thing about loving classics is finding them available for your personal collection. vallo

Xxmass,I agree being a classic lover myself,that some people don't understand.I live for the past (movies that is) but you're correct about todays(so-called) stars and the films that are being made.(dreck)Give me a old movies any time. And if people say I live in the past,so be it .I'm the one that is being really entertained. They'll just complain about sending $10.00 for a remake when I can watch the original on TMC. vallo
